The YouTube Zombie attack

It was filmed on a thermal imaging camera from a helicopter, we know that much.... BUT, surely it must be a hoax?!?! right?

Well, If it is a hoax, it's a friggin' expensive one! the use of the helicopter alone would be WAY above £10,000 then you ahve the SFX etc... (ripping the guy apart, the gun flare from shooting and so on)
Then you ahve to think about it logically....Zombies are usually thought of as slow moving, and more importantly DEAD! with a derelict circulatory system....so HOW would they produce the body heat to show up on thermal imaging?

Just a few things there that don't add up.

Some theories (rage virus, for one) claim "zombies" to technically be alive, nothing more than soulless angry senseless humans. So in that case, they would produce body heat. However I gotta say, its probably a hoax. I doubt it was really a helicopter, more likely just filmed from the roof of a tall building. As for the thermal imaging, most good editing software can produce fake "thermal imaging" as a SFX, as well as the crosshairs. The people were actors, the gunfire can be simulated in editing. The ripping apart, due to the black and white, they could've used any form of liquid for the blood. It was most likely filmed in daytime. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I make movies myself...and some of that stuff is really difficult to make look realistic. But I get your point. When I finally have my trilogy finished, I will be selling it online. expect 3 films of about 2 hours in length each. plus a TON of extra features. It'll be available on Blu-ray too if you prefer.

I'd like to see some more independant zombie films, especially ones that are original!

Some friends and I did an independent zombie movie (comedy). I wrote the screen play, and starred in it. I'm really not one to boast, but when I wrote it - I wanted to make something I'd never scene before in a zombie movie - and I'm fairly certain I succeeded (with the exception of a few scenes that we give a clear nod out of respect to Romero, Sam Rami, and Monty Python). It's in the editing stages now, but this will be free when we get it on-line, and for those on this page that would like to see it I'll provide a web site. We're going to try to let it run off a stream so nobody has to download anything to watch it.

It's a fake. Why?
1) Notice that the recording jumps to when their all over the guy. I'm assuming that they stopped recording, then had the ppl. look like they where all over the guy which was just a warm dummy with a warm liquid inside him
2)Zombies don't move that fast. Nor do they have that strength.
The heat was probably heat released from decay

SOME types of zombies move that fast. Rage and the recently turned zombies in movies seem to have all the speed capabilities of the living humans they recently were... Do you find this valuable?

Well, the body-heat shown in the "Zombies" could have been created by friction, or they are still freshly infected, still containing body heat.
or, they are covered in blood.. but im not sure if thats too plausable.

True that 28 Days/Weeks Later Zs weren't technically Zs but they're following the same basic kill and/or eat the living pattern that other zombies do. Thats why I lump them into the Z category.

Also, in the remake of Dawn of the Dead, the freshly turned Zs were capabl eof running as well. I always get a little smirk on my face when something makes me think of the Asian Z in that one that only has one arm and runs like crazy.

Ummm, actually, if you read all of the youtube comments, then you would have found out that this is actually a teaser trailer for the Video Game Stalker. This is not real, it is just computer animation. It only took a couple pages to load and some scrolling. Now you know for sure. Anyway, it was said many times, but after a bit further research, I cannot find any video discussion forums about it. I'm happy with it being a stalker teaser trailer. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
