How much would you spend on a Zombie DVD?
May 22 2008, 4:57 PM EDT I'm jsut doing some research here (forgive my money-making habits) and was wondering how much you are likely to spend on a DVD of a zombie movie. on average. let's see... 1. How much would you spend on a hollywood zombie film on DVD? 2. How much would you spend on a hollywood zombie film on Blu-Ray? 3. How much would you spend on an amateur Zombie film (like Zombie Diaries) on DVD? 4. How much would you spend on an amateur Zombie film (like Zombie Diaries) on blu-Ray? May 23 2008, 9:19 AM EDT That's a tough one, b/c even though Diaries was shot like an amateur film, it's still Romero directing. but I'll give it a shot. Hollywood zombie movie: $16-$17 (standard Walmart pricing for new releases) *Same movie on Blue-Ray (or HD-DVD): $25 -(if that seems low it's b/c I think that HD's pretty - but very much over-hyped). Amateur z-film - Anywhere from $5-$10. *I would need to be romanced with a trailer and DVD special features to cough up the $10 :P Same amateur fim - Anywhere from $10-$15. If memory serves from other threads, you're in the UK. I don't know what those $ amounts translates to in your neck of the woods - but I hope this helps. Do you find this valuable? |

May 23 2008, 11:09 AM EDT 10-15 dollars for a hollywood OR amateur film on DVD. If it was only on blu-ray I wouldn't buy it, i'm not stupid enough to waste 10 extra dollars on a movie just because it uses a blue laser instead of a red one. Do you find this valuable? |

In our money, that would be an average fo about £8-10 and £4-6 roughly... If I made and released one, I'd price it ata round £5 on DVD and £10 on blu-ray...plus postage costs.
