A couple of ideals for this staircase. Sheets of plywood along the stair rails, to stop them from bypassing a barricade. Plywood barricade at the foot and top of each section. A hole cut in the upper section to drop them into the cellar(?), fall should break a few bones and slow them down. Barricades should be prepared ahead of time, maybe bookcases, and hole prepared in staircase. A section of the upper staircase could even be hinged to create a hole faster, and an additional barricade. Take off the guard rail on the landing, no need to protect them from falling. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
