M-2 Machinegun- Worst choise you can make.

In 99 out 100 skin job attacks, the simple fact is the M-2 is the absolutely worst choice of firearms you can make. It is a rare occasion that the M-2 simply is too big a gun to be of appropriate service to you; Consider that the gun is powerful enough that if you put a round down range, it will go though just about every single skin job from you, to ¼ of a mile away, not ‘killing’ so much as EXPLODING the skin jobs in the way. Sure, it’s fine if your intent is to kill them all, but the gun’s nethariuos accuracy issues (especially in free-gun mode), unless you are facing literally an entire city of skin jobs makes it impractical for gernal use. This is a weap best reserved for anti-vehicle work, and if you gotta point it at fellow Humans, then things have gone very wrong indeed.

This is definetly a weapon of opportunity. Its strong enough that it will probably kill a zombie if it hits anywhere above the mid chest. Keep in mind this gun was designed as an anti TANK weapon. Single fire mode will control the shots better.You also have to set your headspace and timing and if you don't know how, well, have fun. In short, ths gun has many uses, but unless you actually have been trained to operate it, and actually know how best to apply it, your wasting your time with a big heavy paperweight. You would be better to unlink the ammo belts and find a .50 rifle. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Single fire mode will control the shots better.I don't think it was designed as an anti-tank weapon? it was mostly used as an Aircraft mounted machine gun then the HB was designed for ground use Do you find this valuable? |

Um, ever heard of Carlos Hathcock? He used the M2 as a sniper weapon, with his farthest confirmed kill was at 2,500 yards.Edit: From Wikipedia (not the best source, I know): A M2 modified to fire single shots and hold a scope was used by Carlos Hathcock as a sniper weapon during the Vietnam War, proving the .50 caliber round's usefulness as an effective anti-personnel/anti-material round. Carlos Hathcock used his modified M2 to create the record for the longest sniper kill, a record that stood until the current War in Afghanistan. Do you find this valuable? |
