Put together a basic kit now, you can always explain as a FEMA or Red Cross recommended kit for use in case of a (pick one or more: earthquake, hurricane, tornado, flood, black-out, etc) After all you can't count on Uncle Sugar to save your bacon can you? 5 out of 5 found this valuable. Jun 13 2008, 2:13 AM EDT dude if the wiki had 2 or 3 weeks to prepare we'd all meet somewhere where 4000 can survive, nothing says WE SURVIVED like a group 4000 wiki members and there familys. Have a pre-made pack ready! You'll have atleast maybe 5-30min to get up and out when word hits the street. People will try to drive out of town or the the local mall, walmart, or store, and people will starting looting and police/military will be OUT IN FORCE. I would head to a school. CUZ WHO THE HECK WILL BE THERE BESIDE THE NERDS(which would be useful) will go to a school, its got rooms to sleep caf to eat and gym to stay fit, LOTS OF BOOKS TO READ. Most even have a genorator i case of emergencys. :) 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jun 13 2008, 11:10 AM EDT You don't have to go insane buying allot of crap on the Net. Most of it you wont even use. You can make a good B.O.B. or reasonable long term survival kit from any Wallmart. Just swap out the can and dry goods and water every 6 months or so. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

I don't know about all over the U.S. and the world but at the shows I sell at you have military surplus, MRE's, melee weapons (swords, knives, spears, and etc.), and guns of every shape, size, caliber, and price. Or like DAveBall stated above go to any stores. You don't have to go military.. There are just as good alternitives commercially. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |
