Jun 7 2008, 5:13 PM EDT Early in an outbreak, it would probably be smarter to go on the offensive immediately, rather than barricading your house and waiting it out or running. The reason is that this could contain the incident. The only way zombies could take over the world is if people don't do anything about them early on. This isn't worded very well, but I hope you get the point. A strong offense is the best defense kind of thing. Eliminate your foes before they cannot be eliminated. Do you find this valuable? |

Jun 7 2008, 5:29 PM EDT Oh and i forgot to tell something...Zombies ARE stronger than normal people cause NORMAL people can only use about 30% of their full power and zombies use 100% of their strength... Do you find this valuable? |

Jun 7 2008, 5:41 PM EDT Right. Eliminate the Zs in your area and then reinforce your barricades, in case the outbreak is not just a local thing. There is, of course, a chance of legal repercussion if you kill any Zs before social order collapses, but I think I'm willing to go to jail in order to prolong the existence of humanity. Jun 7 2008, 8:34 PM EDT "but I think I'm willing to go to jail in order to prolong the existence of humanity."This is very noble (and I'm not being sarcastic) especially considering the state that humanity has gotten too. If something happens in a few areas, UnUndead has a good point here that someone should mount a fast and ferocious offensive. If you're worried about law enforcement (as you should be), call them before you do anything and report the issue. You don't have to say "zombies" b/c it will get you laughed off the phone - but you can tell them about a guy or group of people attacking folks. Prepare your offensive and wait to see how police do. If that fails, the camera's in their cruisers will record the incident, and you'll probably walk for the part you take- if not be considered a hero (and if there's cameras in police cars here in the sticks, they're in your home town's cars). If it's everywhere, then discretion may be the better part of valor, and let the military handle it if it can. As far as barricades, I've posted a million things about how I wouldn't likely do that due to several reasons - get surrounded, can't get out, big target for a military strike to kill the horde at your house, blah-blah-blah, etc, etc... I'll head to the less populated areas and woods here (that I know) and keep on the move. Good topic though. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: A thought
Jun 7 2008, 8:57 PM EDT Yes, the legal problem is a big one because: 1. To most people, it would appear you killed someone who was very sick. 2. There may be other zombies that you wouldn't get to. 3. Nobody would believe you if you told them it was a zombie 4. You would have to sit in jail and watch as the zombies take hold and then come for you, resulting in: a) They break through the prison doors b) You starve to death after they over-run the prison BUT, you might be able to get away with it if the outbreak occurs fast enough to allow you to not look like a crazy bastard. This might just help your area and other areas, become mroe prepared for zombie invasions. But I think the legal problem would be the end of you without really doing anything. Unless you got the the FIRST zombie, immediatly, and incinerated them so there is no chance of infection spreading. Cause you know if there was a body they'd autopsy it, and some doctor would get himself infected... Do you find this valuable? |
