I'm still a bit worried. Valve has been dropping the ball with it's games recently (in my opinion, and excluding Half-Life). 4  out of 32 found this valuable. Do you?

Im not looking foward to this, i think they should have left it longer, possibly til next gen consoles before taking on this premise. With next gen consoles you could have humungous maps each with their own respective scenarios that are entered by character creation (instead of hollow characters) in one of many starting locations (houses, places of work ect). Of course it would be mmorpg and while capable of decent amounts of players per server world it could have single player scenarios as well (if possible). it would portray a realistic, real time zombie outbreak. making allowances for time to gather rescources such as food and improvised weapons (which i didnt see in the left4dead preview), prepare to flee or hole up your current location all of which could be made more difficult by large amounts of npc civilians to add realism (panicking, looting, ect) and of course turn into zombies which could only be accomplished on a next gen console. it might be taking it too far but you could even change the details of infection, ie what sort of zombies youre fighting (it would end up as the perfect zombie sim : P) i think that theyve done it too soon cause now when someone else tries this it wont be as revolutionary and original (as it can be, this idea has been floating around for a while). If theres the tiniest hint if arrogance in there im sorry heh but im probably not alone in thinking like this. hm i guess i shouldnt be too hard on left4dead, its a start right? and perhaps im just thinking too grand at the moment. 0  out of 3 found this valuable. That's going to be on Source, hopefully. Maybe combined with Euphoria and some other things. You may want to take a look.

And PC's will always be getting better, so a console won't be necessary for any up and coming games, IMO. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Consoles/PC technology, i meant the same thing. They should hold out longer before taking on this premise.

Source is so upgradeable, though. It will last quite a long time, I think. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Once I read the first post I was about to link the ZSW Game page, but I see Quick beat me too it

Surprisingly, considering you hadn't seen the page yet, Colossal, a great many of the things you discussed are being discussed about the game. :D
That was neat.

Which game have they done besides Half life. Which game you talking about. Counter strike, TF2, portal. What?

Valve is mos def Win! Probably one of my favorite game companies right now.

I played the demo; from what i have played it is awesome. It's a fast paced shooter.
A zombie sim like you described Colossal would be pretty sweet, but i feel they could accomplish something like it on the current generation. Look at morrowind, or hell even star wars galaxy before it fell into the fail pile. a 360 could handle something like that.

I really enjoyed the focus on group survival, you wander away from your comrades and it's a quick game over, but if you stick together and rock it like a team and it's a truly unique and fun experience
