Jun 22 2008, 5:40 PM EDT what would you take if Z-day happened now How much do you think you could carry, note the average person can carry 50lbs? How much to you (all survivors indavidaly) eat a day so you know how to ration your food? There are debates going on other pages so leave out weapons , transportation and barricades! 5 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

Jun 22 2008, 10:23 PM EDT With my knees, if I have to walk any distance, I am truly and royally shafted. Having said that, the first priority is water, a water purifier that works like a straw or a pour thru cup size one is probably best for travel. Good, comfortable, broken in walking shoes or boots.(start on this now) Suitable clothes for the weather. How do you ration food, unless you know how long to ration it? Most people can function efficiently for about a week without food, the first day is the hardest. Two weeks with decreasing efficiency. Three weeks for a few still able to work, but most are just surviving. Do you find this valuable? |

Jun 23 2008, 4:16 PM EDT "I got bad knees tooStaying put sounds good, Lots of traps and strong barricades, might need to work on "tornado" proofing my house. Skipping a meal for most folks would actually mean little, a few too much reserve energy around the middle. Do you find this valuable? |
