nice idea but what we really need is an HHO boat, I'm working with the idea right now and I think its possible to do with an engine design I was working on.

OK, I'll bite what is HHO? IF that is hydrogen power using water, the conversion to usable power ratio makes it much more efficient to use the original power to mechanical conversion instead of using an intermediate step of hydrogen conversion.

For what it’s worth…
Provided there is clear enough sky to use solar power, this is a good idea. Unfortunately, there is a real and potentially disastrous possibility that the outbreak creates environmental havoc, blocking out the sun for years (I know, in that case we’re fucked anyways).
Still, if there’s sunshine (and I both pray and assume there will be), it’s not a bad idea.;)

If the sun get blocked, it will probably be the temperate areas. That would tend to create a chimney effect, heat rising in the tropics and settling in the higher latitudes. Should be a "sweet spot" giving good wind power and livable conditions along the boundary.

It is good idea as long as the sun isn't totally blocked out. :) that's as far as I am going to go. Do you find this valuable?

I am researching boats today, and I came across this gem. Even the gym equipment adds power to the boat. I wonder if one well-trained person could run the whole thing?

This is also very interesting to follow.

Sailboat, what powers that, im kind of lost, is it gasoline?

The problem with sailboats is you really have to know how to use them, i have never been sailing, hence i wouldnt even try.

I am no sailor, but I am pretty sure you can't run a liveaboard sailboat with only one person. When I was researching boats I was happy to come across the boat I referenced above, which is partly a sailboat. The good thing about it is that it is electronically operated.

A friend of mine owns a 32 foot sailboat. People have been on that for weeks, without going to shore. Even that is very difficult to operate alone. You want 1 or 2 more people to help out.

I think I linked to here in another thread, last year. Start losing track after awhile.
