I would probally go to the mountains. Zombies arent smart enough to climb. Plus on the upside, all the natural defense! So theres less of a chance of human raiders trying to steal from you. That or the ocean, i can fish there and zombies normally walk on the bottom of the ocean or they float, depending if they are permenantly dead or just undead. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. My friends and I jokingly decided that if there was an outbreak that we where going to go the river/lake/ocean route. Start a mobile gathering of boats and opportunistically attack the mainland for needs and wants. Maybe turn a barge into floating agriculture, stuff like that.

I'd go to the high school, it's by another school, a hospital, and a fast food restraunt, but other than that, it's in a rural location. Do you find this valuable?

I would be anywhere except the city. the city is the most densely populated area of human beings on the planet. So, where do you suppose zombies would thrive?

I would just stay home. Swamps, trees, forest... steep hills... the geography of my area is very anti-zombie.

Mountains are great but you must have shaelter and supplies already there or you are dead. No, you cannot go from living domestically to living off the land in an emergency. You will get sick and die, then be eaten when zombies find you.

Government buildings including schools will be overrun by the public who failed to prepare themselves. Want to stand in line all day and wait for a cot, Top Ramen and toilet paper, sleeping beside sick people and those who you would never ever share a bus ride with? If so, then run to the government for help.

The city is a deathtrap waiting to happen, whether by disease or earthquake. Getting out of there and back home or your BOL will be impossible and illegal after 72 hours following a SHTF event due to martial law. If you one forced to work there and live a long commute off, always keep with you supplies for 72 hours of walking home. I don't mean in your car (buried in a parking garage), I mean in a backpack with you at your desk. Or, ignore this post and get ready for Top Ramen, toilet paper and getting sneezed/farted/puked on by people you don't know and would give anything to be away from... for months.

My BOL is ready for my arrival by any of several means.

The only thing I would have against a swap Jack, is the fact that mosquitoes love me. And knowing my luck I'd be infected by a mosquito bite without seeing a zombie :( I think that would only be a problem with the "Rage" type zombie, not sure though. Do you find this valuable?

If time permitted I would go for a water route too, unfortunatly I dont know how to use a boat let along navigate myself in water but for me water is where I would go. You can stock up a boat or yacht beforehand and to me alot safer then a mountain as long as zombies cant get to it. Do you find this valuable?

... Just so you know, five large cans can last you years and years. As long as you don't over-do it. (some bugs will just power through anyways.)

I'm still using a 4 year-old can of bug-repellent.

But has that 4 year-old can been continuously used or just off and on?

Personally I use an 8 oz bottle in 2-3 months. But it just limits the bites doesn't totally prevent them.

That's why you should wear long-sleeves. It also helps to wear hat.

That way, the only place you get bit is on the hands and face. Thing is, your face will most likely by the most well-defended portion of your body, insects cannot land without you feeling it. Your hands will most likely be moving too fast, to get bit.

You see, only wear bug spray on certain parts of your body. Spraying your hat will keep your entire head defended for about 12-24 hours, and nothing can penetrate the cloth.

Now, obviously you do not want to use big spray when there are no bugs out. only use it when the bugs are especially bad, and try working during times of day when bugs are less-likely to come out in mass. (early morning, etc.)

I plan on heading to my school or with supersoldier. He has a very elaborate and worked out plan for his high school with very little room for any sort of error. The 3 worst problems are the school could already be infected, the school already has too many people inside, or the school is no longer there. Do you find this valuable?

me and my friends are planning to go and raid a bass pro shop about 5 miles away from my house and baracade the doors and windows. then we will get supplies from the costco a block away or the walmart right next to costco. and well then we will just chill and pick the zombies off one at a time with either a m21 or the good ol 50 cal i saw in the shotgun range. also we plan the park our cars in from of the courtyard and the garage and the backdoors so they cannot get in unless they just pile right over. so thats our plan Do you find this valuable?

Just am idea i had. I live in middle england, oxfordshire. (alot like middle earth but without gandolf) Im only three hours away from the border with Scotland. Id do pretty much as my survival plan says, Landrover, fuel, food, weapon, hide. But a few extra bits aswell. Ive just got a massive camo net, now when i say massive, i mean MASSIVE! Big enough to cover the trailer of an artic (semi trailer). Just find a woody outcrop on some hills, park up, cover up, watch and wait! thats only short term i know, but then id go back to my survival plan. Do you find this valuable?

I'm in kansas, here the big city isn't that big. about a 15 minute drive from one far end of town to another. i'd stick where i was at until the initial panic died down. then i would start looking for well secured farms or building on the edge of town, or right outside of town. be close enought to raid easly and far enough out that i don't have to worry about the swarms walking around down town. eventually, when i got a better feel for everything. i may venture farther out into the country.
