in the trusty zombie survival guide by max brooks its revcalls a army of romans faced with a zombie hoard they dig a trench a mile wide and sevral meters down and a gap of about 3 meters they pour the oil for there lamps into the trench wait for the zeds to fall in then light them up i know i wont have a army with me who can dig a trench like that but mabye with the right construction veichles make a smaller circle idk its just an idea Do you find this valuable?

Depending on where you are this is a very feasible idea. Theres a reason castles had moats. I wouldnt waste the fuel though, if they are in the trench and can't get out then they can sit and wait till you dispatch them. In an urban enviroment it would be a trifle difficult with all the concrete.

This would also potentially help against the living that might want whats yours. Hell, you could even leave the rotters in the pit for trespassers to deal with.
