evilredgrin is right

it's simple, and evilredgrin is right.

let's not kid ourselves, we fantasize about it. we want zombies to come, to turn the world upside down, and for our lives to be our own again.

most of us ARE the kids who sat in the back of class, chose to limp our way through high school, got picked on, and wanted out of society from beginning.

most of us ARE the ones just itching for a reason to shoot, slash, and burn our way through life, deciding our own fate.

the thrill of cutting down countless monsters, whose death has no consequence, excites us.

face it. we've wanted out since we were born. zeds are our excuse.

*quietly* I didn't limp thru highschool. *Regular voice* But I do want society turned upside down so that we can gain back a sense of purpose in our otherwise monotonous lives. Do you find this valuable?

I'm not EVEN in high school yet, (almost, but not quite) however I don't want society to be turned upside down by zombies. Saying it would kill all the bad people is just wishful thinking and an excuse. Heros will die, friends will die, couples will back stab each other, all sense of right and wrong would be gone. If you're willing to get bitten by a zombie and have the world end, but if you want it just to bring some 'excitement' into your lifes, then you are a fool. That's like asking for china to invade, (No I'm not racist, in fact I AM chinese :P) or terrorists to take you hostage. Trust me. You hate it until it's gone. Do you find this valuable?

China can't invade if it's full of zombies :)

Also, Where I live, we take the terrorists hostage!

And on top of that, society is really really stupid. At least the great majority of it. I don't want to get stuck behind a desk pushing pencils for the rest of my life, and trying to prove my manliness by attempting to be the biggest jerk out there... Bleh. I just want a simple world with simple rules. No more idiotic physiological puzzles for me to solve as I try to figure out why is it that the people who don't know anything have the title of 'doctor'...

Good point; but not for me.

Think of the money and famethat could be achived from developing a cure. Or getting paid to research Zombies. My plan is to go in to an infected area, save some people for lots of money. Retire early and set up a lab. Study the virus/bacterium/parasite. Find a cure/vaccine. Get more money.

Yes it can, they just float to San Francisco :P. I can picture it now, some fisherman hooks up a zombie, then San Fransisco turns into Normandy :P.

Chinese Zombies, or Chinese Soldiers?

Or maybe Chinese Soldier Zombies?

China may have a large military, but it's not exactly the best equipped and is poorly trained. The civilian population of the United States will give it a run for it's money.

China has a large army, thats true. The real facts about their training is that they are well trained, and equipped. They also have advanced military equipment. They have tanks, ships, and planes that can match our own.
U.S. civilian population will not be able to stop a full out invasion until they get into the Rockies. They will easily get a foot hold in California because of there crap gun laws.
There will be no NUKES because they will fire nukes back.

I was never picked on in school, I was the one a jock with high grades.
I don't want society to fall apart because I have a great life. Plenty of $ no set job, and no boring bosses. But as a realist I like to be prepared for any event good or bad.

Actually, China and the US are about evenly matched. China has a focus on numbers and tanks, while the US has a focus on a smaller group of more elite and better equiped soldiers, along with a militia. The US's focus on superiority would be matched by China's mediocre, yet numerous army. Trust me. You NEVER dis the army that has a problem getting RID of it's soldiers and not the other way around.

so you're, what, in your early teens? and you not only post on a zombie survival enthusiast site, but you've also figured out life.

damn kid. you've got it together.

life is dull. however, i would never want my family in danger. a dull life is plenty acceptable by me. i like my dull job and i like my dull friends. i have a wife and three kids. i've seen life.

i was making a speculation , as the post is called, about "why we are so fascinated by zombies." it's the main thread - have a look.

That may be true, but there is a point where China simply cannot fund a full-force invasion. Yes, it can for a short time, but it can never do what the US is doing currently. Simple Economics. The Chinese military will walk in strong, trip over some stuff, and pretty much go down hill from there. (Not to mention The United States has, what? How many allies in NATO?)

Also, Japan is between China and the United States. That is a lot of ocean for a million troops to cross, Japan will defend itself and it's allies to pretty much the last man, and Japan has a very well trained military. China will lose a heck of a lot of troops screwing with either one.

NATO is set-up for the USSR and they don't jump in. Look at Afganistan most of NATO didn't get involved.
Japan has no standing Military! It has a security force of 20,000 members, we made that part of their surrender from WW2.
China has a vastly better economy than we do in the U.S. because we are borrowing Trillions form China, Japan, and Saudi Arabia. We can't afford to be in Iraq and every were we are.
Not to mention China's Allies like North Korea, Iran, and 1/2 of the Middle East.

As an Ex-Marine with combat experience in Iraq. I have used and seen China made weapons. I think most of you will fall apart if you ever have to KILL someone Zombie or NOT. You can act like a bunch of tough asses on this silly little wiki but I have KILLED in the real world with 104 confirmed kills and several hundred wounded. You all need to grow up and quit putting all of your hang ups on others and blame your sorry boring lives on your selfs!!!

"You all need to grow up..."???? WTF!!?

YOU

ALL?

wait, you're here, too. you're sitting on a web site devoted to zombie survival.
and you're telling us to grow up?
pu-fucking-lease.
you're right here with us. you registered, you read, you posted. (you registered only yesterday, and took the time to fill out your profile) so in some way you actually thought that your opinion mattered. talk about naiive. this is the web, dude. YOU'RE the one getting all fired up over a bunch of internet nobodies talking about something that is for all purposes, completely fictional.

SO- if your life is so exciting, then why are you trolling on a site that discusses zombies?

L O F L.

oh, and let's not even LOOK at your profile! HAHAHA

"What started my zombie fixation: The tings I have seen and herd in my life."
is that, "tings" like, the sound a penny makes when it hits the floor? i've got no clue.
is that, "herd" as in cattle?

"Favorite Zombie book: haven't read any yet. Max Brooks is a fraud! "
Okay, so you haven't read any zombie books. Not even Max Brooks? But you SAID he's a fraud, so you MUST have read his work. Well, I for one, am glad that a gun-toting ex-marine has an opinion about something he's never even read! What an educated "ting" to say!!!

you've served your country, and for that i salute you. i've served in the usaf myself, and the marines are capable of things that leave me in awe. i truly respect them, and have served beside them.i'll gladly shake the hand of any man who has served our country, especially overseas. you clearly seem to know what your'e talking about when it comes to the military, and i'm not about to dispute that. really.

but there's no use in insulting us. (we can use keyboards, too.)

Reason why the whole of NATO did not fight in Afghanistan? well, let's just put it this way: The entire of NATO does not need to jump in. That would be overkill.

Japan DOES have a standing military. A defensive one. They CHOOSE not to attack, but they are fully equipped and capable of totally annihilating any force equivalent in size to their own. They just prefer to be provoked FIRST.

China does NOT have a better economic standing then the United States. Granted, they are growing and have a shot at taking first place, but Japan is the Second strongest economy on this planet, and they are doing much better then China as a whole. Also, China is currently in a "death-race". If they do not make some serious economic progress every single year, in less then 50, it will collapse. This is in part due to their massive population, and aging work force. Today's majority will be tomorrow's elderly. China is trying to solve that problem, but so far they are barely making it.

We CAN afford to be in Iraq. To be perfectly blunt, most of the useless spending has absolutely nothing to do with the war. Also, the 'decline' you are probably thinking about right now started during the Clinton administration. ALL of the problems started with president Clinton and his bad management. (he was just riding the wave of progress set up by the previous administrations.)

Also, Zombies being sub-human, I consider them beyond help. I-can-kill-zombies. I have no problem killing animals, so why should I have a problem killing zombies? Now, when it comes to other living people, I'll have a problem there, but it's not like I have not said so before. *hint hint*

Also, most of the stuff I am disappointed about, isn't my fault. It is in fact, out of my control. ya?

And finally, I have done my fair share of research... don't say I'm wrong until you are absolutely sure, and even then. I'm only part wrong.
