i just want to see what i get on here. also its my 1st thread. In my opinion i would stay away from melee weapons unless i knew that i was going to end up in a close combat situation. Do you find this valuable?

There is no defineite "best weapon".
Some weapons suit some situations better than others.
The best thing you could do is carry a variety of weapons.

You said best weapon of CHOICE, so that means it's our opinion.

For me? It's an ASP Expandable Baton/Crowbar combo, one per hand. Why? Because I'm not so good with firearms. Andy can take the extra boots in my closet if he wants, 'cause I'd probably be in slip on shoes and snake chaps anyways.

Mossin Nagant Rifle Cheap,Durable,Reliable,Customizable, Powerful,Plentiful

ASP? I had a friend that killed a dog with an ASP. The dog was a beagle and it took a while. The ASP was all bloody and bent up, so Im pretty much saying its a one time use thing to subdue criminals of the alive type. I would go for a good crowbar or a bat.
I dont condone animal cruelty and what he did was VERY wrong, but he has spent time in a mental institution, and in my opinion needs to go back. He thought he was some kind of big killer but after he did the deed he came back in covered in blood and crying.I found it amusing that he went from rambo to hello-kitty . I had to bury the body as he could not even look at it.

He is no longer a friend.

If there were 2 million memebrs on this site, you'd get 20 million opinions.
You really are best-profitted to go through the opitons and try each out for yourself.
Good luck!

"Whatever is close to hand when you need it."

Train and prepare with any and everything, knowing that *someday*, *something* is gonna grab at you and in turn you'll need the "Best Damn XXXXXXX Tool In The World!!!", you end up with a blunted regular tip long shank screwdriver, an old fashioned bottle opener, a nail, 2.5 foot long 2x4...

"Do what you can with what you've got". it'll save your life..
