Aug 17 2008, 10:07 PM EDT You could use bangers to distract Zeds or to signal or you could use screamers or roman candles or whatever. I think they're a good idea, because they are plentiful, easy to get a hold of, you're able to stockpile them easily, and you're able to carry a lot of them and they are easy to use and relatively safe and you could use them for many more things which i can't think of. Any more ideas? 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Aug 18 2008, 2:44 AM EDT well, I saw an interesting idea in Left 4 Dead the pipe bombs now have buzzers, noisemakers and LED lights on them. You could use firecrackers similarly since their small blasts aren't big enough to set of your average explosive (assuming its sealed) This distracted the zombies and made them crowd around the bomb. This would really only work on 28 weeks later style zeds, unless you used an electronic detonator and a long delay for Romero style zombies 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Noisemakers have decent practical tactical use
Aug 18 2008, 3:33 AM EDT If you can light them and not in turn attract Unkle Zed before you desire, fireworks will fill many roles in your Operations. As noted above, noise, signaling, movement, and of course use to distract Zed and relatives in directions you want them to go. Carry carefully and hopefully they will be ready to use when needed. Wet proofing best you can would be prudent if at all safely possible. (Do not do as was done here, and one of the resident student Rocket Scientists dipped his *M-80* in hot liquid wax. Explosion ruined equipment, and injured many of the working Researchers.) *Out* *EOM* Do you find this valuable? |

Aug 21 2008, 1:02 AM EDT To be honest the only real use I would see for firecrackers, would be to use as a makeshift flare, and still your best bet as far as a makeshift flare would be roman candles, and maby as a last ditch effort use a M-80 to get rid of a zombie thats getting to close, other than that I see no use for firecrackers 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
