I do believe in zombies, and I in no way wish they exist. Maybe not zombies exactly like those in movies, but I definitely believe viruses could mutate that way. Look at what rabies does with animals: Causes them to be hostile and lash out. It does that to spread it's self. You say it's ridiculous for a disease to act that way, and yet they do. They evolve because the strains that find the most effective way to spread and live on are the ones that survive. The basics of evolution. Survival of the fittest and all that. I don't ‘wish they existed' either, I simply enjoy planning for the scenario in which they do exist and wondering about what I would/should do in that situation. Isn't the most simple organism, often the one that thrives? The Bubonic Plauge destroyed 1/3 of Europe in the Middle Ages. With today's commerce, a man with a "cold" in NY, could be infecting another man in Hong Kong. The numbers would increase exponentially. Are there zombies walking around right now? No. Is it a possiblity that some horrid form of Rabies develops and spreads on a global scale? Yes. I'm just gonna be prepared, provided that I haven't become infected. While I don't believe the Romero zombies are real I do think it is entirely possible for an outbreak of Ebola, Rabies, or another virus to spread. A large scale outbreak would cause people to panic and more and more people to become infected. While it's not flesh eating zombies, its a scenario in which a highly infectious virus is leading to mass panic. I believe it can happen, and that's why I'm here. And everyone on this website who claims they think zombies exist is just saying that, they dont' really believe it." look dude, im not going to try and get all technical and scientific, thats all too complicated. to put it simply, i dont really believe that zombies currently exist. i DO however believe that it is entirely POSSIBLE for zombies of some sort to come to be, either thru a natural virus mutating, or [more likely] the government trying to prolong human life or make supersoldiers or something. whatever happens, i believe in hoping for the best and planning for the worst. Even if the cause wasn't zombies, the cause killing no one, and society was reset...how many people do you think would die from that alone? I think the statistic right now is that there is only enough food for 2/3 of the world's population. Lots of people going to starve to death. How many more killing to get food? How many more dying of illness, the cold, heat, everything else taken for granted? You really think all those deaths are acceptable so that the ones left "appreciate LIFE"?
