"I asked for det cord a long tuime ago."
Limited knowledge on my part, someone could duplicate what I know with a Google seach. Of course, they could also learn a lot that isn't so. Few other things, it burns nicely, resistant to low velocity impact(say high power rifle bullet), is only suitable for small and relatively fragile objects. Standard explosives are more suitable for most situations, that is why they are standard.

These links have reasonable information, I didn't see anything that would get a reasonable, cautious, intelligent person killed.

it's a pretty awsome product,we use to use it to cut the tops off 55 gallon drums at work but goodbye to the good old days...it would leave clean cut so smooth you could run your hand across the cut with no worries of jagged burrs or anything...most of the time it's used in conjunction with dynamite, you simply take an awl and punch holes through the sides and out the ends.and then you take your cap and tape it to the side of the det cord...and then connect your initiator...with other stuff or by itself det cord rules.

You didn't bother to look at the date? And you posted about landmines admitting you're saying nothing about the actual topic, det cord?

Lock.
