First the body would have to develop enough. That still takes time, about 14-25 years (that second number is NOT pulling shit out of my ass people).

unless ofcourse you are like me. i believe that they lack the capeability. in order for an erection to occur blood must be pumped into the phallic area. no pulse, no blood flow, no boner, no sex, no babies

3. If they can reproduce, even slowly, ZWars will be..
Aug 25 2008, 12:53 PM EDT
.. the true "Foreverwar".We'll be rekilling Unkle Zed until every single shambler and potential rebreeding part has been burned. Wondering if Zed reproduces like a worm, simple contact? Maybe one reason Zed tends to bunch up and stay in large packs. So much we do not know and understand about the physiology of the virus and its abilities. Not sure I dis-believe the Zed can make new Zed, but how, and more importantly, how to stop that in its tracks. *EOM* Do you find this valuable? |

I don't believe any zombie would actively have sex. Some might be forced into it by some very odd survivors(you know who you are), but the whole decaying and lack of blood flow, as well as the only urge being to feed, probably prohibits zombie sexual reproduction.

But if you have seen the Dawn of the Dead remake you can see how baby zombies are still possible.

Well if they feed and have other basic survival instincts would Sex just be skipped? And they aren't losing any blood its just slowed. And to Reddson if the infected has already gone past puberty they can make the sex chemicals for their head, or if they are it those could go wack!

Allow me to clarify-I DO believe skin jobs will breed, copiously, forcibly, if necessary, like common animals. But only after their physical bodies have developed to the point that they can. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Dude, have you even considered this?NOTE: THIS TIME FRAME IS NOT EXACT AND DOES DEPEND ON THE PERSON'S IMMUNE SYSTEM. 2nd NOTE: THE IMMUNE SYSTEM CAN SLOW THE VIRUS, BUT CANNOT STOP IT. The zombie is created by a LIVING host becoming infected, after approx. 11 hrs. the virus enters the brain and causes paralysis, then at the 16 hour mark, the infected individual goes into a coma, then about 4 hours after that, the subject is dead. Then THREE HOURS LATER, the altered frontal lobe cells begin to reactivate themselves (due to the virus) and will cause the body to move, and BAM! a zombie is made. In those three hours, I do believe that any of the zombies reproductive organs would have seized function and not become reanimated. If the subject is infected upon death, the child would also become infected and die and reanimate with the mother. However, the underdeveloped child should not be concerned, as the premature birth (or at least, the deranged zombie version of birth) would render the baby unable to effectively infect anyone. So, in conclusion, zombies cannot reproduce. I hope my reasoning has helped you understand WHY I believe this, instead of it just seeming like a random conclusion. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. I'm reminded of a vampire movie I seen years ago, a woman was pregnant and bitten by a vampire and she and the fetus became ones. Now since vampires don't age she was pregnant for I don't know 60 years or something. The baby was alive just in the womb essentially forever. Now on to Zombies, if you no longer age OR decay after turning into a zombie I could see something like this as a very slim possibility. However as far as two zombies reproducing as an act of survival of their new sub-species I don't think it's going to happen. Do you find this valuable? |

Lets imagine, for a moment, that zombies are not undead, but rather living people infected with a disease that suppresses higher thinking and erodes all the nice things like morals and empathy that we tend to take for granted. It's entirely possible that they could be driven to do something besides eat the uninfected. such as brutally raping them repeatedly. Since it's pretty unlikely a zombie would use a condom (or give you time to put one on yourself, all genders being equal in this hypothetical) pregnancies would probably occur from time to time. Whether any of them will be carried to term by a mindless mother who doesn't have a pain threshold to prevent her from doing things like running at full speed for hours on end is another matter entirely. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. *Colossal facepalm* Do NOT in ANY circumstance quote the zombie survival guide in regard to zombies as truth. The reason? Zombies do NOT exist(that we know of) thus we have no actual data regarding what makes a human become a zombie or even what the definition of a zombie is.

It has been widely accepted that the only organ that works in a zombie is the brain, and it doesnt work well. Zombies aint roamin around at night looking for a booty call.
