Canadian / northern states

Even in Michigan crops can be grown and there are many hunters
Many of the hockey players for the red wings are canadian along with the governor
If the zombies freeze in the winter they will thaw out repeated before March so no place other than antartica would be a safe place from zombies

Are the Canadians more polite that is unknown
Maybe some day Canadai will be part of the U.P. or part of the U.S.A

As a hardcore Michigander I know all of this to be true...I live in Lapeer [farmlands+a large town and a small city area] And yeah, the skin-jobs will freeze [if applicable] and crops can be grown here, there's lots of small and large game to hunt, go up North and there's miles of wilderness and healthier fish than in the Industrialized areas of southern Michigan...The UP has lotsa wilderness too...

Michigan and other Northern Mid-West States I personally believe are better locations to buid a fortress during the Zedpocalypse...Plus, they have all 4 seasons in their propriety...

Canada's a good place too : )

Depends on the area...Lapeer gets loads more snow in comparison to Flint, but they're only one half-hour apart from each other.

It's live-able, but you have to be willing to adjust with the weather accordingly.

Yeah, avoid the yellow snow at all costs.

You from Michigan?

Yeah, I know about the Black Snow...Also the Gray Snow, the Drab Snow, the Red Snow, and the Slimy Snow...Things you don't mess with without HAZMAT gear on.

Also, don't fish in Flint and eat what you catch as it's highly polluted and will give you Cancer more than likely...Lapeer's fish are a lot healthier.

OK, you're from Michigan : )

NOBODY else would know or care about the e.coli problem and the water pollution unless they live here...Or did a book report on it, but I don't think that's the case : )

I'm actually from Little Rock, Arkansas, I moved here when I was young to Flint, then Detroit, then back to Flint, then to Lapeer...I love Lapeer the best and it's got a lot of goodies for Z-day plus the people there aren't idiots like the majority of Flint. : P

yeah Detriot is confusing

The crime rate probally isn't all that bad in Lappear as it is in Flint or Detriot
no animals escaping from the zoo's eating people or their pets

I never herd if the authorities ever caught some large cat maybe half lion and half tiger
whatever it was it was mean and maybe black in color

Detroit's freaking crazy...I don't think they caught the big kitty either,,,lol

Lapeer's nice and quiet because of the no-nonsense people and high Police presence *Crosses fingers* and Flint's the intermediary between Lapeer and Detroit, but Flint leans more towards Detroit as the days pass....Also, avoid Saginaw unless you're heavily armed and need scrap metal for those tuned in to this discussion...Gang population, like over 70% and there's huge caches of scrap metal and other useful things there...If the gangs don't kill you first...

Not to mention that there is a lot of junk yards in Michigan epecaily scattered in flint to make great melee weapons and plenty of traps that could kill many zombies and maybe gang bangers Do you find this valuable?

Hell yeah, Flint's choc-full of junkyards and the like...It'd be like Condemned 2: Bloodshot at that rate...

Gang-bangers get scared away if you play heavy metal...Very few of them would survive the initial Outbreak anyways.

the only problem is if the area is already infested. . . that would suck, by the way is ther a way to make a scanner for all life (including zombies?) because that would be useful Do you find this valuable?

IR goggles should help, motion detectors. If something is at ambient temp and not moving it is almost impossible to detect. Sound is a possibility also.

There was a movie a while back about dragons it was three stick like objects and radar

radar sends a wave or signal it might detect movie objects on the ground but the best bet would be to use motion detectors and create a perimeter of your camp like in The movie Resident Evil 3

even if this technology essisted many of us could not aford them

So my method that out a bunch of cans put them on string or cable and leave them where people/zombies would trip over them this would make a sound and thus an early wraning system to let others to run or go kill some zombies
