Prevent heat exhaustion.
Sep 19 2008, 12:13 PM EDT For those of you suffering from heat exhaustion, try this: Take two shirts, putting one over the other and sewing the necks together. Sew 1” wide pockets laterally with the bottoms open. Into these pockets, try slipping a wide-ish item, like ¼ tubing or something, then sew the bottom shut. This will create a separation between you and what you’re wearing, allowing air to pass, while still allowing you to wear whatever it is that’s trapping all that heat. They ARE available commercially (Underarmor Corp, I think- They sell a lot of these at sports and security equipment stores), but they’re kinda rare and even I’m having trouble finding them. (I can find NORMAL Underarmor, but not the pocketed kind.) (Mods- I put this here because it is about something people have to buy. I’m not selling these, though, I don’t even own any stocks or stores.) 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
