Sep 27 2008, 2:17 AM EDT ... you didn't know about this before? It does have lag time, is not designed as armor but as a support exo-walker for people who have suffered motor damage, and the battery life on these things isn't exaclty forever. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Holy FRAK... HAL Suit.
Oct 1 2008, 10:23 AM EDT I doubt that would ever be useful in a real scenario. Agility is as important as protection. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Holy FRAK... HAL Suit.
Oct 1 2008, 11:02 AM EDT I saw a video of it in use. The agility’s fine… ¿Why is it everyone assumes that if it’s over your body, it’s not ‘agile’? I also seen a video of a man wearing knights armor doing cartwheels (I can’t do cartwheels…) Another thing is the Yves ROSSY-design rocket pack. The best it’s gotten to date is 6 minutes, but it DID fly… Do you find this valuable? |

Oct 1 2008, 11:09 AM EDT "I doubt that would ever be useful in a real scenario. Agility is as important as protection."It is all a balancing act. How effective are the enemies offenses and defenses against your offenses and defenses. If your defense can handle anything they can throw at you agility is much less important. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Holy FRAK... HAL Suit.
Oct 1 2008, 12:11 PM EDT Absolutely untrue. No defense can handle "anything" after enough wear. Expecially with zombies, you should always have the option to retreat to another position and having the agility to do so is very very important. Do you find this valuable? |

Oct 1 2008, 12:12 PM EDT "I saw a video of it in use. The agility’s fine…That type of maneuvering with a heavy outer-layer requires training. It isn't like anyone who can do a cartwheel can put on a suit f armor an repeat said cartweel. Do you find this valuable? |

If there is enough wear to degrade your defense, then the conditions have change, your defense has changed. Also, if the zombies can wear down your defense then, evidently, it couldn't handle everything thrown at it. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Holy FRAK... HAL Suit.
Oct 1 2008, 2:07 PM EDT Enderfire, you need to consider more than just one factor. Protection: If they can’t bite you, then you’re in pretty good shape. Intelligence: If you know where they are, you can avoid them. Agility: The simple ability to contort your body. Speed: The ability, if it all goes bad, to run away. Armament: Well, if you had enough firepower, you COULD kill them all and not even need to run away. (It’s fairly reasonable to assume you could NEVER carry that much firepower in and of yourself.) These were in no particular order, just as I thought of them, but of that list, agility really does come last, and the HAL suit did have more than enough.;) 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
