Reorganization

Some of these jobs could be collapsed into each other. For example, everyone will be a soldier to a degree, as well as a watchmen. I'm proposing that we divide each of these jobs into separate sections Military Operations- Responsibilities would be training as well as base security. People in this field would be conducting missions that ranged from search and destroy missions to security. Military training is recommended. Logistics and Maintenance - Would ensure base is supplied and maintained. Duties would include armory, storehouses, vehicle and equipment maintenance, and keeping track of equipment. Engineering - Responsibilities would encompass construction and maintenance of structural defenses and other base structures. Would include demolitions. Medical Corps - Would be responsible for first aid treatment and training, as well as psychological counseling. Communications and Intelligence - Ensure steady stream of information to command staff as well as maintaining commo equipment Command Staff - Responsibilities would include centralized command of base operations. Hopefully that covers most of the basics. Do you find this valuable?

If you don't mind I'd like to add to the reorganization effort as well....good idea by the way, I was there today and I thought something like this would spruce it up a bit :)Driver Corps: You'll want to have dedicated drivers and pilots for the sections that go beyond the wire, see 'Drivers?' thread as to why....If you're too lazy then it's because you don't want your extractors to be making Cocoa Wheats or doodling combat tactics while you're desperately calling for evac but then the radioman's too busy fingerpainting. Also, for the Militry Operations section, I think that a couple of other fields for qualification would be: Law Enforcement, Security-debatable, Regular member of a Citizen Militia-debatable, or if none of those, a willingness to learn and cast erroneous media prejudices aside. I think this article needs a total OVERHAUL. What's with member "picking occupations"?If you think you're suitable for some sort of post-apocalyptic duty, speculate away in your profile and in the role-playing section. Isn't this supposed to be styled on an encyclopedia article? Do you find this valuable? |
