Surviving in Vegas will prove challenging for me.

Bad attitude! It will be as easy as pie!

I live in NYC, they will be on my stoop at just about the same time the news lets us know 1 million zombies are roaming the streets. Luckily, the massive amounts of gunfire will alert me sooner.

I would think Nevada would be easier to survive in than in some other parts of the country. Biggest problem might be water. There will probably be some there for you to hang out and survive roaming zombies with. Do you find this valuable?

I'm in Reno man... I guess I might as well be in another state when you take our distance into account. When Z-Day hits, speed yourself up to Lake Tahoe and me and Strungoutfan will hook up with you. Do you find this valuable?

Hehehe...
I live in Vegas too. I don't plan to travel all that distance to Lake Mead.
My primary weapon for a while is gonna be a BB gun. At least these BB's are metal.
Im running low on them though, and I need more training and accuracy with it.
Im in Mountain's Edge... anyone think thats a bad place to be in Vegas?

I live in the Reno/Sparks Area. BOL TBA soon. I have spent some time looking at toppo maps and figure that somewhere along the Truckee river or up at Tahoe will be good during the initial out break and/or other end of the world senario. But planning on moving east after things settle down as there are more prospects for long term hunting and minimal farming in eastern nevada. How ever i will be limiting the size of my group to no mor than 30 people, so as not to attract too much attention and so inhibit any further major movements. Will keep everyone posted when i fid a suitable location for the temp. BOL. Do you find this valuable?

Vegas as well. If I have to stay, I'll be at the Sahara West Library, until I can get to Nellis. You'll know I'm there at SW because I'll spray paint a huge fish on the side of the wall with yellow on the inside. Same for Nellis, just look for the fish. I'll be taking the long way around LV, trying my best to stay close to the mountains. But be careful, there's no guarantee I'm even still alive. If you are alive, and you see the fish, please finish it by spray painting it with a blue smiley and the one eye. If I happen to see them I will know someone is trying to catch up with me. Hopefully the zeds will be too dumb to catch on. Hopefully. Do you find this valuable?

Glad to know I'm not the only one here in Vegas. I live on the far north side, not that long from Nellis. I'll probably Bug-In; Look for a smoke signal. Do you find this valuable?

It really isn't all that difficult. I lived in Hawthorne, and there were a few pumps from wells there, and now I live in Round Mountain, and it's the same here. Just walk to a pump, turn it on, and voila! Ground water. The only problem with the ground water in round Mountain is the Arsenic... We have a gold mine nearby, and they use it to leech gold out of the dirt... But anyways, if you're in the right spot, water isn't a problem, as long as there aren't too many people trying to use the same water.

I think anywhere is a bad place to be if your main line of defense is a pellet rifle, let alone one with low ammo, and that you have minimal experience with. Guy, you gotta get yourself at least a club to beat the zeds with. I made one out of a sapling and a pocket knife. Bokkens aren't meant to kill, so it isn't all that much good, either. I just hope you get some serious weapons before Z-Day hits, or else you'll be caught with your pants down.

Countrymen, I come to the rescue. :) Not really but I am optimisitc. Between Las Vegas and Reno there is a small town called Hawthorne. I fyou have made the trip between Vegas and Reno you may have passed through. It is a small town with not much going on but it holds a small secret. It is the second largest military de-militarization dump in the US. Another small secret is it is patrolled and protected by a security firm which hires civilians like You and I. In my opinion I do not think those employees are going to want to stick around too much, like most they will want to go where their families are. Go there and open up shop. I am at work and can not get into depth much more but will gladly do so once I am in my hut. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
