i totally agree, we aren't a bunch of frenchies, me and my whole family is a bunch of hunters! I am very familiar with fire arms. Plus I have plenty of firearms as well as my hunting liscense and firearms liscense. Maybe we don't have a big army but that doesnt mean we will all die. there is actually a canadian zombie movie, I can't remeber the name but it wasn't bad. Thanks for the Canadian Survivors page one of my favorites. Do you find this valuable?

Canada does not have a small military.

0.6 / 1000 are military personnel, which is significant compared to many other counties.

United states ranks 1.6 / 1000, but even the US is absolutely dwarfed by countries like Jordan at 15.6 or Qatar at 9.8 or Norway at 6.2

When we're talking about a malicious pathogen, we need to examine the ratio of military personnel to the ratio of ordinary civilians. This number tells us "how big" a nation's military force is, relevant to the situation.

Hey Guys,

It's nice to be able to talk about the Canadian angle. While we do have the advantage of climate ( in most parts of the country, where I am is pretty much the same as Seattle), there is the simple fact that the vast majority of Canadians do not own any firearms. So we can bug-out up north, but I think most folks would be doing so without the benefit of long-range weapons.
I don't know if that really puts us ahead of the States or not. I'd say our biggest advantage is our low population density. there's plenty of room to run and hide.
