Non-explosive improvised weapons?
Dec 30 2008, 2:52 PM EST
For example, for stronghold defence, etc. I came up with a very simple idea. All it takes is a cinderblock and a length of chain.Go up to the roof, securly bolt the cinderblock in place, preferably take time to calibrate the length to head height, when zombies are pressing up against the barricade, go to the edge of the roof, way off to the sid, and let the block swing. It should swoop down from the side, impact against skull, and take out at least one zombie. What do you think? It's not really effiecent, but it is something that doesn't waste non-renewable ammunition. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Perhaps you're barking up the right tree, here, other than the Zeds being different heights. Could work for a few, though. It's a version of a medieval anti-siege weapon. If anyone is in a fortified building, harkening back to these weapons could prove useful. Heavy objects in a trough ready to dump on some heads, burning oil, etc. All of these things were meant to stop people dead in their tracks. Kudos for the thought! Do you find this valuable? |

Another idea would be a spear... just stand above them and jab them in the head when they walk belowI think a simple knife tied to a stick would work for this purpose Do you find this valuable? |

"For example, for stronghold defence, etc. I came up with a very simple idea. All it takes is a cinderblock and a length of chain.I'd prefer something working vertically. Easier to get more velocity, and independent of zombie height. Only problems: -it'd only get one at a time -it might hit your barricade unless properly set up Do you find this valuable? |

"Another idea would be a spear... just stand above them and jab them in the head when they walk belowThe only thing to be careful of is that you are securly fastened to the roof. Don't want to over-reach and fall or have the spear get caught by a zombie and pulled off. Do you find this valuable? |

"The only thing to be careful of is that you are securly fastened to the roof. Don't want to over-reach and fall or have the spear get caught by a zombie and pulled off."that is why I rather use a cinderblock as you said, but just drop it straight on their heads. Do you find this valuable? |
