Greetings all,
I was up late last night and caught this flick on cable. I had heard it came out a couple years back but there wasn't much hype so I never saw it. It's another unofficial remake. It had Sid Haig in a fairly prominent role, and I immensely enjoyed him as Captain Spalding in Rob Zombie's films.

It was all too bad though, because the movie is absolute shit. The acting is atrocious, very labored and inexperienced. The filming and atmosphere is equally bad, the cinematographer has obviously NO experience. The zombies are even worse, they look like they have huge latex Halloween masks on and are entirely unconvincing. The plot takes a turn near the end that just makes it all too stupid to finish watching.

Avoid it. It makes Tom Savini's 1990 remake look like academy-award material. I'd even go as far to say that it is about on-par with Children of the Living Dead. It was that bad.

If you want that uncomfortable eerie feeling you get from Romero and Fulci movies, then you're better off going farther back into the archive for something like Shockwave. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Yeah, I'd appreciate that, Marsden.

Out of 10, I'd give it a three.

While we're on the topic, what's the deal with new film pages? We're missing pages on some true classics as far as I can tell. Most of Romero's classics are only briefly mentioned in the zombie media page. Do you find this valuable?
