surviving in general...i dont know many survival skills, only have a limited experience with firearms, and am not in the best shape...i'm starting to think i'm screwed

"surviving in general...i dont know many survival skills, only have a limited experience with firearms, and am not in the best shape...i'm starting to think i'm screwed"as your posting on this site I can only assume you are capable of reading, and using the Internet, so the best thing for you to start off with would be to simply look up sites or get books on general survival, firearms, and fitness, for starters. just an FYI, a general rule of thumb for survival is being able to survive without the need of others, as wile having others around may be nice and have its advantages, relying on them will compromise your survivability if they were ever to die or you were to get separated from them 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I'd say if you where able to get to Pennsylvania you could join my group. I looked at your bio and it says your in Ohio which isn't to far, but then your 14 which means you technically aren't allowed to drive. In a post-apocalyptic world I think you would be able to find a car and drive here but that's assuming you know how to drive and the roads aren't filled. You are old enough that you can start learning survival skills so if you truly wish to live, I suggest you start reading.

well you can save up your money have your parents sign for a gun (if they will let you) if not i know how to make a gun from steel plumbing parts and a cheep paintball gun but i would read up and work out buy what you can (simple stuff like MREs, mill surpluss cammo gear, etc) but work out and learn is all i can think of for you

hell i dont smoke my parents dont but they got me 50 cartens for tradeing when SHTF hey people will start to smoke and they cant find any and want some and are willin to trade thats why i have them so if you find a pack take it and trade it

just becaus your only 14 doesnt men its the end start learning and save up on supplys if your parents will let you buy a gun then buy a gun i would get a mini 14 because you can shoot 5.56 ammo (standerd millitary ammo) and its real simple to clean

Start working out. Even if Z-Day doesn't come, you will be able to lead a healthier and better life. If it does come, you will not regret being able to run longer and faster than other people.

same here and no offense but i think we'd be pretty screwed. I live in canada and i don't know much places where they sell guns at all so yeah. If this technacilly did happen would suicide be the best answer????

Since you're 14 you may not be able to buy stuff online but you can go to gunshows(if they have them and your parents let you go) or flea markets to get lots of useful survival books. I have bought books on everything from tanning hide, to making bows, to ediable plants and animals in my area where to find them and traps made from natural surroundings(central Texas). You can always find a use for these. Though learning these skills takes time, atleast if you have a book on them you can learn as you go. I'm currently learning to make rope from different things, fur, plants, string, yarn, etc.Flea Markets and gun shows also have many other fun things a 14 year old like yourself will probably enjoy. As a side note the difference between a gun show and a flea market is the gun show also has guns for sell along with the other crap. Do you find this valuable? |
