Check out some math, Probability Theory and Chaos Theory, for an answer to your question. Actually that would just answer for naturally occurring zombies, man-made are another problem and IMHO are much more likely. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Freakish experiments, gene splicing, boilogical warfare, stem-cell research. . . etc.

Who's to assume that zombies haven't already occured, or won't in the future?
I said it before, and I'll say it again:
I have a lot of fun thinking about this, but if I see zombies eating flesh in the near future, I won't be surprised.

Perhaps zombies have already walked th earth, but the stories have been supressed? People around the world are fed information by the governments that tell them what they want, an the people who seem to find out things that are contrary are demonized as conspiracy theorists, or lunatics.

You ask me "Why not yet?", and I ask you "Why say why, when all answers AND questions are most probably just speculation?".

With a BS in Math and Graduate work in Computer Science, well more than 5.

A recent article on biological warfare predicts that the next major attack on the USA would be a viral infection... Scary? yes, quite. Instant death? Maybe? but who is to say? And who is to say how a virus can mutate, especially when its a manufactured virus? We only have control over our own lives and what we think say and do... we have no idea what someone else is doing or plotting. As far as we know a "Z" virus is already made and those who have it are waiting... plotting... the ideal moment to release it on their enemies... Do you find this valuable?

Uhh, if you're not here to actually contribute apart from petty skepticism, I suggest you don't come back as you're not getting anywhere with that attitude.

Let me guess, sole reason of joining?

Also, "if it is possible that X happened, why hasn't it happened yet"
What? That is like saying "hey, if I can get blown to bits by John randomly on the street, why hasn't it happened?"

Common logical fallacy, examples.
"I have been driving drunk for years and haven't hurt anybody"
"I am not an alcoholic, I only drink beer(wine, etc)."

It's also an argumentum ad ignorantiam to suggest that there is even an inevitability of it occurring. Do you find this valuable?

NAEGLERIA - this one is found in water and soil, but only one species - naegleria fowleri - can infect humans. The infection mimics bacterial meningitis and affects the brain and spinal cord. The parasite enters the body through underwater swimming and/or diving - the ameba then travels to the brain and spinal cord. Infection causes Primary Amebic Meningoencephalitis (PAM), a brain inflammation, which leads to the destruction of brain tissue. Initial symptoms of PAM include headache, fever, nausea, vomiting and stiff neck. Further destruction of brain tissue leads to confusion, lack of attention, loss of balance and body control, seizures, hallucinations. This disease progresses very rapidly and usually results in death in 3-7 day.

When pushed to the brink of death out disorientation a person can and would most likely attack another human. If one of these parasites such at the one I mentioned above or Toxoplasma Gondii (Which I think are the two most likely to be used) Were aver cultivated and distributed in mass to say a High school or even worse a water treatment plant . The results would be catastrophic. It's not a matter of if it will happen its how and when.

haven't even mentioned bio engineering done in Korea , Russia and Cuba . This can esily be mannipulated and used seamlessly against people. My Theory is that the out break will probably start in Las Vegas Nevada next to Area 51 and spread through out California. I think people are a bit off base about Area 51 I think it's Americas biggest secret because were creating biological weapons. If there are "Aliens" that would be neat but as far as facts from what i researched and it seem like there is a lot of burning of highly toxic and radioactive materials. Do you find this valuable?
