Excellent defensible location for any post-apocalypse, including zombies. ENTRY TO BUILDING Upper levels of building are reached by two, narrow two-story escalators. Escalators are overlooked by several shafts and windows from the upper levels, which would make excellent spots for safe shooting or for deployment of re-usable weaponry, such as large, heavy objects hung from ropes. Zombies would have to ascend single-file, making them easier to pick off. Essentially, you have a medieval castle-style defensible stair, here. For best results, you'd need to seal off access to the building's emergency stairs and either seal off or possibly blow up the connecting bridge to the parking garage. PROTECTED SPACE Ample enough to support a reasonably large population. Includes kitchen facilities. Would have enough food and booze on hand in restaurant and bar areas to get you through initial zombie issues. SAFE ACCESS TO OUTDOORS Guthrie features large, cantilevered "bridge to nowhere", which is only accessible from protected levels. Food could be grown on the terraced benches. Water could be collected here as well. Great feature if you're worried about survivors going crazy from being locked up indoors. EASY-ACCESS LOOTING Located in downtown Minneapolis, the Guthrie is near multiple restaurants and stores that can be raided by looting teams after things die down a bit. Central location in metro area also ensures that most zombie fodder (and, thus, zombies) will flow away from it during initial infection. IDEAL LOCATION FOR SOCIETAL REVIVAL As zombie infection dies down, Guthrie provides ideal location from which to control traffic and trade along upper Mississippi River. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
