"will a rage zombie (28 days) die if you slit its Throat?"
yes, there basically humans without he capacity to control there emotions resulting in rage which is induces by a toxin spread by fluid contact, the problem with this however is that they also either don't feel or simply disregard pain, and distress which are two reasons why people collapse after there throat is cut, however a rage zombie may not do this and turn on you, this coupled with the fact that you need to be close to slit there throat means there is a very good chance of getting infected making this a very bad idea regardless of the fact that it would kill them.

Think of a 28DL rager as a highly contagious version of someone hopped up on PCP and violent as hell ... pretty much the scenario. Whatever will kill a human on PCP, will kill a rager. You just have to keep in mind the whole "ain't feelin' no pain" aspect. Do you find this valuable?

At least you can kill them with body shots. They feel no pain, but you can still kill them easier.

Nahh ... people with rabies don't act like animals with rabies.

Animals become violent quite often.

Humans almost always become withdrawn and psychotic, sleep a lot, etc. Rarely do they become violent ala 28DL.

I meant it like an altered form of rabies. Perhaps a man made variant of rabies who knows. I was just referring to the rare cases of some people who do get effected from rabies. Do you find this valuable?

"Soon after, the symptoms expand to slight or partial paralysis, cerebral dysfunction, anxiety, insomnia, confusion, agitation, abnormal behavior, paranoia, terror, hallucinations, progressing to delirium." - Wikipedia

Agitation, paranoia, terror and hallucinations could probably lead to being violent.

I love this type of thread about rabies because it makes the most sense for "zombie-like" characteristics.

Rage INFECTED. They're not zombies, no matter what anybody else tells you. They're living, infected humans.

But by all means, prepare for them too.

them being living is a technicality, they are still as bad as zombies and for all intents and purposes are the only think they lack is being undead which isn't that big a deal anyway.

Sorry to be harsh but: who really gives a damn?
Zombies are mindless flesh eating humans.
Whether it is dead or not doesn't mean much aside from different methods of combat.

i find zombies like these to be the most realistic..all it would take for these to exist is a virus simply mutating to change the chemical makeup of our brains to invoke rage. Do you find this valuable?
