interesting idea, its basically a short handled naginata.http://www.sabersmith.com/products/polearm/naginata.html. the blade looks like its off of a china made toy though. Do you find this valuable? |

"I do have a life and i just made this for fun"Not to sound mean but am I supposed to believe that you have the equipment to put clean holes in steel but not put a half-decent handle on it? Or if the blade was pre-made why not just use Gorilla glue and clothesline? Do you find this valuable? |

you'd be hard pressed to find a better ready made handle than a good hickory axe handle.however i agree the attachment of the blade could have been done more effectivly. I mean even using hose clamps would look nicer and probably be more sturdy than what you've got on there now. Do you find this valuable? |

Not as much an axe, more of a stylized sword.

It's not an axe. Blade is too thin and it's way too light to be an axe. An axe doesn't look like that at any rate.

"interesting idea, its basically a short handled naginata.Well the stamp on the blade says "440 stainless china" but the thing is i was planned to bolt it to the handle but the steel was so tough nether me or my father could put a hole though it(even with a drill press) so based off of that i feel it is very tough. "Not to sound mean but am I supposed to believe that you have the equipment to put clean holes in steel but not put a half-decent handle on it?to be honest i was planned to bolt it. I indeed us gorilla glue to attach it,the tape is there to hide the large gouge where i bored out the handle trust me that blade isnt going anywhere Do you find this valuable? |

"It's a sword. One that will leave this guy with nubs when the fabric fails."Your right it is a sword, its called the ZombAxe because of the axe handle and no the the fabric won't fail because its not keeping the blade in place. Its Gorilla Glue. Do you find this valuable? |

Find a better blade. also to test your handle, take it outside and test it this way. hold your hands at the end of the handle like a baseball bat. then hit the spine of the blade against the tree as hard as you can, like swinging a baseball bat. Make sure you catch the blade near the tip. I think you'll find that the gorilla glue isn't going to hold up. Do you find this valuable? |

"swords made out of 440a are garbage, normally for decoration only. Find a better blade.well the thing is is i made this for fun and if i do for some reason need to use it and it does break i will still have backup weapons to attack with (after i take the remains and shove them into the closest zombie's eye) Do you find this valuable? |

Go to union tools web site to look at their 16" Ditch Bank Blade. They sell them at any farm supply store. They can cut some pretty good sized saplings. I think they are about 5' w/ hickory handle. They might even make one with a fiberglass handle. Weld a sharpened screwdriver to the end of it and some kind of spike on the back and you've got yourself a hillbilly billhook.

"see i wouldnt want something like that because my blade is good for most indoor combat"Good answer. I've just always liked the idea of a bank blade. I swung one years ago doing some community service for a DUI. Cleaned off a half mile of brush and briers for the county. Never had to sharpen it once. They probly don't make them that good anymore. But you are right indoors you wouldn't have enough room. Do you find this valuable? |
