Right on!!
Apr 22 2009, 11:17 AM EDT
Cool post! I too support the idea of PT I personally workout 6-7 days a week about 2-3 hours a day. (lots of cardio) (I only do that 2 weeks at a time but still...)Any standards for those of us that pump Iron?.. My goals for this year are 500 for the DL and a 280 bench. Mebby a power to weight ratio?. Do you find this valuable?

I was just about to start a thread on PT prep for Z-day. I love the weight-room, but being able to travel long distances without getting tired is probably more important (sigh). I lift about 4-5 days per week and totally half-ass the cardio. A great book for training purposes is the SAS training manual. Those guys make triathletes look like chumps. I don't know how much running I'll do on z-day however. I have pretty bad arthritis in my hips due to a birth defect. The elliptical trainer is fine but running is brutal. I should probably start working on that fortress now!!

i really like this challenge, i had 300+ PT score (APFT) including a 13.00 flat 2 mile, 97 pushups, and 94 sit-ups (in 2 minutes each) however bragging about the past does nothing for me now, i haven't exercised in about a month except pushups and sit-ups before bed :) as a matter of fact my profile pic is from a competition earlier on this year
