some flaws

with an assault weapon like an AR-15, you dont have much chance of a headshot. it would take alot of practice to handle its recoil & it jams easily. all the looters will flock to walmarts, ocstcos, supermarkets, & malls, stealing the food, seeds for farming, guns, ammo, & if they dont, the guys working at the wall mart will hold out there with access to all the guns & if would need their permission & to cooperate if you just wanted to spend the night there. & zombies are alot sronger than you think. although their lack of coordination & inability to pump blood & repair damaged tissue disallows them to run, jump, climb, swim, etc. they have alot of strength & just 1 could take the bumper off a truck & you do not want to drive a truck with no bumper. so i suggest heading to the woods & raiding local grocery stores & such.

The recoil is negligible, they are amongst the most accurate mid range weapons made, and even the less expensive ones $700+/- have no problem with jamming especially if you use factory ammo. Seriously have you ever shot one a quality one or are you just going buy what you have been told? Do you find this valuable? |

I went the AK road instead of the AR-15 but I know at least 3 people who have AR-15's and they say jamming really isn't an issue. had i known that before my AK purchase I may have bought an AR-15 Do you find this valuable? |

Oh yeah, the recoil of a .223 is way too much to handle.

"Oh yeah, the recoil of a .223 is way too much to handle."That is sarcasm isn’t it? The 112 lb female who joins the Army gets issued the same M-16 in 5.56 NATO as everyone else and must pass some sort of qualification at the range. I think the Army puts a round or two down range in basic not sure though. The 5.56 is a hotter round and has almost no recoil, the only way the recoil of that weapon should be too much is if the shooter is snapped in incorrectly. Over 12 years in the Marines, I have seen people hold weapons in some crazy ass ways but even so I can’t imagine how anyone could be unable to control the recoil from that round. If you buy a good quality weapon Bushmaster even Colt and use factory loaded ammo (NOT WOLF) failures are not an issue and when they do happen they are easy to clear if you know how and don't panic Do you find this valuable? |

I agree Necro. You can barely feel the recoil. Why would an AR-15 jam? They're semi-automatic. When I was in the Corps the only time my M16 every jammed was on full-auto (that was frequent) but never on semi.

Keep it clean on the dry side-sand + too much CLP =failure. I spent 12 years trusting my life to some version of that weapon and I’m still here. Do you find this valuable? |
