Good first draft. I say first draft because these things get improved and refined the longer you spend on the site. You are preparing for a worst case scenario (Class 4 on the ZSG) which is wise. However you have got a few comments on there which are a touch optimistic. I'll touch on the most common points now. First, you are assuming the roads will be clear. In a panic situation, roads, particularly main highways and the Interstates will be clogged first with traffic, then abandoned vehicles. Any travelling is best planned on the back roads. Second, you are travelling from NC to PA then to OK. Thats a long route. 500 miles then 1,200 miles. Laden vehicles, back roads will make it worse. Consider having everyone from each location travel separately to your BOL. (We'll get to that in a second) Third, you make the assumption that Wal-Mart and the stores will be left unmolested come the Panic. But look at the scenes around Christmas when the shops are shut for a couple of days and there is a blizzard warning. No water, no milk, no bread, sometimes nothing left on the shelves at all. Stock up ahead of time. If that means having a bigger larder, rotating the cans so the oldest ones aren't left at the back, then do it. But prepare now, not later. Finally, your BOL. You haven't really got a fixed idea in your mind. If you follow your original plan, you will all be in OK. How well do you know the area? What makes you think you will be able to find an unoccupied building during the Panic? If you think you will be moving ahead of everyone else, then the building is likely to be occupied by citizens unaware of what is coming. If you are moving after the Panic, you are likely to get eaten. Whilst some of the last minute supply gathering is able to be done when the first "odd reports of rabid people shrugging off gunshot wounds" start to come in, your BOL is going to be long term. Short term, have a BOB, stockpile for Bugging In, think of how and where to make your BOL. Longer term, prepare your BOL in advance. You can't really make a good fortification when Zack is swarming your fence.

I suspect that English isn't his first language (My Bride?), but it is nicely done either way.Though I am suspicious of the large amount of swords that he intends to bring. Those swords require training, he should've invested in a gladius.... Do you find this valuable? |

In major cities, I can understand that there would be lots of congestion but there's no chance all of of i77 and 79 being back up. Where it is, we will simply do as suggested. Take back roads. As for the BOB, I have one. It is my entire equipment and weapons list all in one messenger bag and one converse duffel bag. Both of which litterally never leave my side. Even when I go to the store to get smokes, I take them in my car. Will upload a pic of it upon request. And English not being my first language? Compared the grammar I've seen on this website I think my post is one of the most comprehensive. The only reason I call my wife my "bride" is because of a Maxim Issue Bam Margera was in. Him and his wife were together in the picture, her in lingerie, and he held up a sign that said something to the effect of "Stop looking at my bride you creep!" It has kind of stuck with me ever since then. 3 swords isn't an excessive amount. Especially when you have had years of training, which I have had. I would feel most comfortable with my Katana rather than any other weapon. If all I had were my pistols, or a shot gun, or anything else, I wouldn't feel completely safe. Obviously, if I'm up against other non zombie humans who have guns themselves, I'll want to keep my guns close, otherwise I will stick to what I know. Do you find this valuable? |

In all of the guns I've fired (many of them rentals) I've never had a jam that wasn't fixed by simply pulling the slide back once to clear the unejected shell casing or improperly fed round.

"ThisI think you should buy a rifle. For me, being within a 1 foot and a little more distance from a zed is a little too close for comfort. Do you find this valuable? |

It had nothing to do with your grammar, I just thought it was weird to say "My Bride"...If you're comfortable with the Katanas, bring them. I'd still advise getting your hands on something more deadly at range though. Do you find this valuable? |

"In all of the guns I've fired (many of them rentals) I've never had a jam that wasn't fixed by simply pulling the slide back once to clear the unejected shell casing or improperly fed round."If it sounds like fun, then fire crappier less well maintained guns with cheaper ammo. Every once in a while with that steel case military surplus junk you can get the empty brass kind of crimped where the ejector can't get in there and pull it out. You've got to get in there with a nut pick or something similar and do some prying, hopefully not jacking up anything in the pistol while you're at it. Tap rack bang works 99.5 percent of the time, but not always. Do you find this valuable? |

I realized that the bang hadn't actually resulted in an impact because the lead stayed in the barrel. Had I pulled the trigger again I'd have blown my hand off. It was so creepy, that I haven't since fired a revolver. Do you find this valuable? |

"with that kind of squib load, it was probably an ammunition fault, it could happen on any firearm. I had never heard the term squib load before, I love learning new things. Also, this wasn't at my grandfather's so it was store bought ammunition. Do you find this valuable? |

good in most places but you need to have a rally point for your family and friends out of town. on z-day spread the message and everyone leaps to the spot ready to fight.

"That's scary as ****. I mean, I've had a couple of nasty incidents with my Ruger not feeding Federal ammunition right through the standard mag (it tried to load two rounds at once I think) but that is just disturbing."its really pretty rare if you use factory loaded ammunition. I mostly shoot some pretty cheap junk ammo, military surplus from eastern bloc, and misfires are fairly common but not a squib load. Think about it, the primer has to burn enough of the powder to send the bullet into the barrel but not enough to get it all the way out the other side. For rifles thats what 18 to 30 inches, for pistols like 5 inches, that means almost all of the powder has to not burn. The only reason it happens enough to really get talked about is reloaders mis measure the powder and don't put enough in to burn. I guess what I'm trying to say is either buy factory ammo or reload your own, but never buy that reloaded ammo you see at gun shows, even though the sign says the guy is a navy seal/ninja/chuck norris' bad ass older brother who reloaded it. You said that you're checking into a Tech 9 or a Mac 10, those would be poor choices in any survival scenario. While they have large magazine capacities, they are cheap and inaccurate. About the only thing they are good for is doing a drive by. (Not something I recommend doing) A better option for power would be a small assault rifle, such as an M-4 with a collapsible or folding stock, a Ruger Mini-14, or a Ruger 10-22. They're a little bigger, but well, you're going to get better accuracy and much more range. But I do like the fact that it seems that you've actually got some real Japanese swords that you know how to use, as opposed to a lot of folks who just have showpieces.
