well flames and zombies really only mix together when your disposing of their deceased corpse. If you throw some falmes at a zombie while its walking at you, it will take a good hour or more to decompose, and then I'll you'll have is a flaming zombie walking at you, which is extremely not good. Do you find this valuable?

I disagree with you there; There are two main types of "zombies" that we discuss here.

a.) The "Romero" or "Solanum; and
b.) The Rage, 28 days later type.

In the case of the Romero zombies you need to "remove the head or destroy the brain."

I think that the human brain would be have been fried within 5 minutes if being on fire, not to mention the ligaments and joints between the zombie's bones being conpletely wrecked.

In the case of Rage infected I believe that they would feel pain and attempt to put it out.

You have the right idea about disposing the bodies though. Burning would destory the bacteria/virus/parasite/protoza/pathogen that has created the zombie and could possibly provide a new fossil fuel.

Even if it quickly kills a zombie, it's almost impossible to find a flamethrower.

Very true. Although you can make some interesting improvised flame weaponry.

How do you know that it would take an hour or more to kill a zombie? The brain starts to take permanent damage at 114 degrees, so the possible five hundred degree heat would make pretty quick work of it.
