Less sex due to bad moods, fights, divorces and abandonments? More miscarriages due to stress, alcoholism? More abortions due to lack of funds to raise a child? More use of contraception, due to the awareness that a child would be a financial burden during a tough economic time? Why does that matter? Because in the post-Z landscape, some of these don't apply, and some do. Less sex due to bad moods (possible), fights(possible), divorces (unlikely) and abandonments (unlikely: where are you going to go?) More miscarriages due to stress (very likely), alcoholism (less likely, less alcohol available.) More abortions due to lack of funds to raise a child (unlikely, unavailable to anyone without a doctor.) More use of contraception (back to the availability issue.) Do you find this valuable? |

To the OP...It is good to work your baby into the plan. I wouldn't leave my family behind as well. You just have to think ahead and hopefully be 1 or more steps ahead. As they get older, many burdens will be lifted, however one burden will remain, a mind of their own (aka: Johnny was just here, where did he go? Oh my! ). As for the "derailment", as soon as you all have some sense of security, the humanisms will come out or some will not care. And I am sure some will change. It is inevitable, baby or babies will still be conceived and born during the ZPOC. As the old saying goes, "Nature always finds a way" and we are part of nature even though some of us think we are above it. The only way the human population will see a demise is if a planet or larger killer hits the earth or the building blocks of life are destroyed. In other words, the beginning of the food chain. Do you find this valuable? |

Pedro - historically birth rates always go down during economic hardship and wars. Take any war and look at the birth rate before, during and after the war. Try the American Civil War, 20% decline. World War 1 France, 50% decline. Abortion and contraception are always available. The affectiveness and risk level of the methods are the only variable. Septic wards existed for a reason. Do you find this valuable? |

Sorta Big Stick Method:Get a large log put a lot pressure on the stomach and slowly turn while the pregnant chick lies on her back restrained and screaming her head off. Fist method: punch in stomach. Hanger method: use hanger in early stages of pregnancy by pulling it up the cervix and scrape the uterus clean. Poison method: drink lots of alcohol or other weak poisons Classic method: jump or "fall" down a high spot or stairs Do you find this valuable? |

First and formost Red nice image of Picaso's The Old Guitarist, it's an excellent choice for an image. The great depression had a significant drop in birthrates paritally due to the huge male migration in search of work, hobo's aren't breeders. LOL Perdro to answer your earlier question, I do know how to make them I have some weird information floating arround in the old noggin lol and well.... information is only useful if it is put into use............. lol Do you find this valuable? |

North American ones: black cohosh and blue cohosh, cotton root bark, evening primrose, a lot of vitamin c but you need a ton and do it before 5 weeks. You could take your chances with pennyroyal, but that is toxic and you could bleed out Best plan is always don't get pg. Do you find this valuable? |

I doesn't change the pattern. A time of economic hardship, men and women weren't looking for partners to breed with. They had more pressing matters to deal with. Do you find this valuable? |

On a serious note, that would be probably one of the few ways to guarantee no further pregnancy's, safely at least. You could always try Redcomrad's remedies for curing pregnancy, lol... I do believe they are worth having around. I personally love children and though i understand the world would be hell on earth, its not like humans haven't endured and surpassed tough times before. Its one of those things that makes us a great species. Probably one of the only things as so many other problems are rampant in our society and civilization today..... Do you find this valuable? |
