How to contact EMS

There is a right way to do it
Contacting the Emergency Medical Services
As soon as you have determined that a victim needs medical attention, activate the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system. Single out one or two bystanders and direct them to call the EMS. The EMS can be activated in most areas by dialing "911" or "0." The EMS will need the following information:
 where the victim is located
 who you are
 the telephone number you are calling from
 first aid that is being given
 what happened
 how many persons are sick or injured
 condition of the victim(s)
Remember: Do not hang up on the EMS operator. Let the operator tell the caller when to hang up.
