H1N1 Flu
Jun 17 2009, 4:52 AM EDT | Post edited: Jun 17 2009, 4:52 AM EDT
They changed the name of the flu from Swine flu to H1N1 flu. There's more and more cases, it's now a global pandemic and they're expecting a second wave...possibly worse than the first one. There were a couple cases in the small town I live in...but no one's panicing because they stopped reporting it on the news. keep an eye out for it in your town. wash your hands, don't go to work/school if you're sick. Stay away from big crowds. same old precautions. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I read on msn that it's possible, but they're working on a vaccination. they say it's going in the same pattern as every other flu pandemic. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

After the SARS hype I tend to take "new pandemics" with a grain of salt. Do you find this valuable?

its ont such a big deal down under. there are about 2000 cases here, but there have been no deaths & it has only lasted for a few days in peoples system average. although, the lethal dose could come in here anytime, despite the victims being put into quarrantine.

if that is true, & if you mean bird flu, it shouldn't be that bad. besides, influenza is a bacteria virus. reanimation would kill any bacteria. it is a problem, but not a zombie problem.

realy, any viral problem could evolve to a zombie problem. Seeing as a virus constantly changes we can not be sure what would be the end result. I could lead to the begaing catalyst. and if that wasnt taken into account this thread couldn't be filled uder the location of swine flue. We should ever allow complacency to be the norm here.

I hear some dumbass parents in the US are hosting flu parties to infect their children with the virus before the stronger strain comes along....

Irish authorities warned our parents not to be such fucking imbeciles..

they're trying to have their kids grow immune to the virus.

for the record I'm not for that. you shouldn't expose your child to a potentially deadly virus.

yeah but Biological hazards is one of my Job parameters and it seems so ridiculous for people to try and spread something that is a notable pandemic hazards. Even if there trying to build immunities in there children before it changes, that's no guarantee at all, I mean we have to get a new flue vaccination every year for the same reasons. These Parents need to pull there head out of there asses. Do you find this valuable?

one thing i've learned from working with kids is most parents have their heads so far up their asses, they're almost a blip of nothingness. the sad thing is the kids are the ones who get screwed.
