marshall arts vs. horde
Jun 26 2009, 12:19 PM EDT
never attack a horde of zombies with bare hands, its suicide, never cut the troat on a zombie, it doesnt breath, kicking with a solid front kick before finishing it off is the ONLY reason you would use marshall arts on a zombie with out it being a last resort, unless you find like, oh say, nunchucks or scis or a katana

"fail"so_bored, allow me to explain Mitchell's statement, with which I agree. 1)You stated everything as an absolute, whereas you actually have no way of knowing whether it's true or not. 2)The post is somewhat rambling. 3)It's clear that you didn't read the page, seeing as you didn't name anything in particular that you have problems with. 4)Nunchucks scis and katanas aren't even mentioned on the page, and I can't name any specific martial art off the top of my head that employs any of those. Nor is the sci a weapon, as far as I can tell. That last one applies to me, anyway. Be careful what you post, so_bored. And now for the age old bit advice: know what you're talking about before you start talking about it. Do you find this valuable? |

I suggest the movie Tokoyo Zombie Attack for all questions about Zs and martial arts.

I definitely believe that unarmed combat is vital to know in defense against the undead. Where you might lose a weapon or not have one on your person, your body is always a suitable weapon if you know how to use it. Granted, attacking an entire horde with your bare hands PROBABLY isn't a fantastic idea. But as a martial artist, I'd feel more comfortable defending myself (which, by the way, is the biggest reason why you might learn martial arts in the first place.) You might focus on a style emphasizing escaping from holds (such as Krav or Ju Jitsu) , or a striking style like Muay Thai or Karate to maybe knock some skin jobs down or break some jaws. I liked this article, actually. Also...All else fails....Run and pray to the LORD that they don't catch you =) peace. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Against creatures that can essentially kill you with one close contact encounter, I'd say the best martial arts discipline to know would be "runna de phuck ouda hear".

"Never attack a horde of zombies with your bare hands because it's suicide. Cutting a zombie's throat is also ineffective because it does not breathe. By utilizing a solid front kick and following it by finishing it off with a weapon is much more effective. The only reason you would use an unarmed martial art on a zombie is as a last resort, unless you found an applicable martial arts weapon, such as the nunchaku, sai or katana." A little bit of proof reading goes a LONG way! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
