How about. Flashlight? Whats this about Rambo? And here in eastern Washington our power is worse then Iran during the revolution.

It's posts like h4344 that make me want to leave this site....

However: If I can deal with boiled Lamb Fat & Steamed Grass for food, I can handle this.

You cannot place a comment on this site as brash & uninformed as you have left. You will only be ridiculed, picked apart, and mocked (my favorite form of telling people they are not just wrong, but being silly). Give reasons & better explanations of what you are trying to communicate. Otherwise, listen & learn.

There are some nice solar powered lanters that aren't too pricey. I got lucky and found two on clearance at wall mart. During the two weeks we were out of power they were our main light source in the early mornings and late evenings. Do you find this valuable?

Electricity is not that hard to get, every car has an alternator so it's just to find someone with a little mechanical skills and ask them to take a few of them out. Then all you need to do is either build yourself a wind power plant (which will take a while) or hook them up to a car motor. Then you have plenty of electricity and a fire in your house... I don't think that such a great idea... if you don't have an open fireplace. Then you can always use the solar panels and gather car batteries which you also can load so that you can have the car/generator running on the day and then on the night you go over to silent battery power. Not to mention he brought up Rambo, i mean COME ON! ALL HAIL RAMBO!!!! It is very funny watching how some of the peeps are when they come in here. I say to make this topic not another waist of time (or at least not as much), we ask everyone what type of power source they would go with when the power is gone?

"Squander thine misconceptions of electrical power. I..."

I can't actually translate this...

I think the general gist is "Build a fire and you won't require electricity."

It doesn't make sense though.

What do you think Skip; should we kill the thread?

Something about we will all die without electricity because we're lazy and accustomed to it. So we should watch Rambo to learn how to build a fire.

LOCK IT! There's already enough "No Electricity" threads.

Allow me to translate, SnC:

"Screw electricity. What's going to happen when you need light? Oh! Wait! Why don't you just use the light switch that your lazy ass has become so accustomed to.

Not gonna work, people. If you have no idea what to do, then please go watch Rambo: First Blood, making sure to watch both part one and part two. No, I don't mean the newer 2008 movie, John Rambo.

So, in other words, just build a freaking fire!"

I must say that this is a rather poor post, which outlines common sense as if it's some esoteric secret that only the poster understands, and assumes that only the watching of Rambo can impart. He also seems to think that we're all idiots for not watching Rambo, or doing so and not acquiring an understanding of this esoteric survival philosophy. . .

I agree, Marsden and Stryker: Lock it. Nothing constructive's going to come out of it.

I think that it's because of his lighting the whole town of fire toward the end.

I've been to the town it was filmed in. It looked fine to me.

SnC: I hope you were referring to the OP's lowness, and not my translation. . .
