I'd change the order to:
1) Knife
2) Water Container
3) Firestarter
4) Can Do you find this valuable?

2)knapsack
3)firestarter

I actually didn't have a particular order in mind, just that these 4 items are the most basic items you need to have. Do you find this valuable?

That all ooks just about right, but maybe a little change, like..
1. Firestarter
2. 3'' blade knife or longer
3. Military mess kit
4. Backpack to keep all the supplies.
