I think you focused entirely on one type of transportation and ignored everything else. You simply categorized different types of automobiles, which to me is nothing special, really.

You left out several key means of transportation, including but not limited to:

1) Bicycles
2) Motorcycles
3) Animals
4) Aircraft
5) Nautical vessels, and
6) Rail craft (trains, rail cars)

So, in other words, it needs a lot of work. It's not bad, but it needs work.

If you can, TheSurvivalist, see about adding what DevilNuts listed, and then add more. If you can do that, then the page quality will improve greatly.

If not, then see if there's a logical way to merge it with this page:

http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/Vehicles

Don't just stick it in at the end or something; it needs to be put in properly.

Again, though, it's not a *bad* page; it's just not *enough* page.

Nice, Nathan. You covered some of the main modes of transportation. Sure, it's not all of them, but those are probably some of the most ethical choices. No offense to DevilNuts, but would you really ride a bike or a horse to escape from zombies? Do you find this valuable?

I understand what your saying but i was just listing the most common modes of transportation that you would be likely to find easily. And yes i know that i could add more and i more then likely will but like i said its the first thing i have ever posted and i doubt that anyone else has done it perfect there first time. 'Ethical?' I'm just wondering what you mean xInfectedx.

A bike is far quiter than a car, truck, van, etc., as is a horse, both can go very fast, as well. It makes sense to me to use a mode of transportation besides what's most often seen on the highway, although you're right; these will be the most commonly used.

But that doesn't make them the best.

Once again, though, you're right. ;-) We'd just like you to be a bit more complete Survivalist. That's all.

Well, I have moral standings that prevent me from riding a bike or a horse. Do you find this valuable?

"hey everyone this was my first EVER post on this website so give me some feed back and let me know what you think of my work."
There is already the Transportation page, though it is currently uncategorized. Not a bad start, though I have a few issues.

1) In terms of durability, no stock civilian vehicle will be able to withstand hitting zombie after zombie after zombie. And if the car doesn't give out, the driver can still easily lose control and hit something else.

2) Fuel mileage isn't as important as fuel range. Fuel range is the vehicle's mileage times the number of gallons the fuel tank/s can hold. Some pickups can have two tanks which gives fantastic fuel range even though mileage may be lacking somewhat. And driving style still had a major impact on fuel mileage, a sports car driven lightly can get better mileage than a hybrid going as fast as it can. Seriously, I saw that on this show Top Gear. They drove a Toyota Prius flat out around a track and had a BMW M3 follow it and keep up but never pass the Prius. The BMW actually got better mileage because the motor barely had to run to keep up with the heavier and less powerful Prius.

At what point did anybody begin shouting at you or acting generally upset?

It's called constructive critisism, and you asked us for it. There's no need to start critisizing us.

If you have any issues with a specific statment, adress the issue. Please don't get defensive because we gave you the advice you asked for.

What I meant was that those are some of the more logical modes of immediate transportation one would use. But think about it this way: sure a horse is very fast, but do you really think it's willing to run through a mob of zombies? No. Horses have instincts that prevent them from idiocy (putting their own lives in danger). It's all good fun until some zombie dick bites your horse's ass and you're screwed. :P Do you find this valuable?

I just looked at it again and it looks good. One thing though; the Prius isn't really a typical car. For one thing, it's dead in a maximum of about ten years because the batteries will only last that long. It'll probably run on just engine but that's like driving a 4 cylinder Chevy Suburban.

it's close enough for an example.

most cars won't be worth much due to their size and cargo capacity - unless they get really good gas mileage like the Prius. Most of the time, they don't have enough ground clearance to go over land, wade water or go anywhere that isn't completely cleared and dry.

So that leaves them about useless.

Off-road ability is true, though in the U.S. we have so many miles of road that it's hard to say that it will be necessary. Personally I would definitely want a couple of off-road ready trucks in my group just in case, but I doubt it'll be a 24/7 necessity. Of course, I could be wrong.
