I always try and keep in mind that I may be limited to that which I can carry. One item that springs to mind right from the start is a lighter. I'd recommend carrying a whole crap load of them because they're useful as all heck and easy to carry. Boiling water, cooking food, cutting rope/string for various uses, detonating explosives, the list goes on. Don't be caught without a lighter or twelve. Another obvious need would be a spacious back pack, here you can place lighters, long underwear, rope, tools, dry/canned foods, etc. Very useful. Something that may seem trivial but will be very handy later is a can opener that works well. Some pocket knives have them built in, get one.As for some of the first aid items mentioned, they sound great but don't seem very practical. I'm not carrying an oxygen tank with me, that's for sure. Aside from the weight issue there is the matter of my particular injury treatment style. Most serious injuries are going to result in infection and the eventual zombification of the injured party. i usually treat with a bullet to the brain, or if ammo is low, an aluminum bat. Wow, you're back, and with the same terrible spelling and grammar arguing points that say you're a ten year old with no firearms or survival experience whatsoever. And all that "guns nd ammo" will be helpful when you're dying of dehydration on an exposed rooftop somewhere.

Would also be a good time to remember that ammo and "guns" have weight as well.

"Would also be a good time to remember that ammo and "guns" have weight as well. "Indeed. I think I might have paid more in shipping for may last batch of ammo than the actual product. Ok it's a slight exaggeration, but not by much Do you find this valuable? |
