The thing was filmed very close to where I live.

It looks at least somewhat humorous, so I figure it's worth my time.

I *would* love to see a realistic, well-done zombie film, however.

Realistic?

Fụck realistic. We all think this zombie thing is going to be so fun, but in reality it isn't.

You think anybody would want to go see a boring ass film that follows a viral outbreak, government quarantine, public outrage, mixing with the other problems of the world so that more people die from starvation and rioting before the zombies even REACH their towns than from the actual zombie attack itself? One in which your main character is a malnourished terrified survivor with PTSD? Where the second half of the movie (after the quarantine part) is just a bunch of dirty smelly people huddling in fear in a house? Where EVERYONE DIES? Because that is REAL.

The hero won't get laid by the hot girl he rescues. There won't be comedy. There won't be awesome asskicking scenes and explosions. It would be such a boring and depressing movie no one would see it.

That may honestly be the best zombie flick ever made, or at least one of them. I mean, besides the gore fest and the humor, there is actually a storyline and character growth.

Like how they all have either lost their family (Tallahassee), have very limited family (Wichita and Little Rock), or never really had a family at all (Columbus). And at the end they become their own family, a very dsyfunctional, Bill Murray killing family.

I just got back from taking my son to see Zombieland : )

It's a blast! Funny, not too cheesy and not too gory to make it too serious. Well done!

For a group like us, it's a nice comedic way of looking at a post Z-day scenario. Some good stuff for us to look at in this movie.
