billybad_45	Lets get real here. Aug 17 2009, 12:28 PM EDT I'm new here and what blew me away after reading the plans of many here is this. Hasn't anybody thought about setting up shop in Wal-Mart? Its obvious as the nose on your face. Just go to Wal-Mart run off anybody there and take the fuck over! It blows my mind that none of you big thinkers haven't considered something so damn simple. Don't be hating on me if its never crossed your minds I'm just a common sense kind of guy. Wouldn't this be easier than what I read this morning. Some englishman here is going to build some huge complex or something. Get real nobody is going to spend money for something like that banks wouldn't lend you the money for something that crazy! Keep it simple, simple. A lot of you seem to think your gun experts too. Playing CoD and rsident evil dont make you a gun expertr at all. All I'm asking is for you guys to think before you post or you'll look like a bunch of damn fools. I'm glad I'm here to set you all straight and will be glad to take any and all qusestions about guns and bows that you may have. Just PM me and I'll answere your questions about anything to do with weapons. I'll be glad to help you. Also if you want to see my plans on taking over a Wal-Mart and making a forterss out of it I'll be working on a page here for everyone to see. It just makes sense to do you got food water and supples and onec you barracade the door your good to go. Simple/ practicle and smart. What would you do without me. Ha ha. Wal-mart is a TARGET for all the sheeple, such as yourself. EVERYONE will go to the big-box retail stores for supplies. Even past the panic of everyone, it still is a huge target for raiders. P.S. You are being a complete dick. Stop laying claim as the first guy to think of this plan, as I could probably pull up AT LEAST 10 people who mention Wal-Fucking-Mart. Also, there are quite a few people who have reasonable plans, as we often whisk away the "Fiddy cal snippr rifl toting video game junkies". Even AFTER you admitted it wasn't the first plan you're still waving your prick around as "the best idea on here." During the initial panic, as people begin to realize that something is wrong, and the government is calling it a "viral outbreak" and FEMA is sitting around with their thumbs up their asses, thousands of people will RUN to Wal-Mart for supplies. In a panic, people will take everything. If they came for water, but the water is already sold out, then they'll buy batteries because their panicked minds tell them they need something, anything. So by the time you get there and try to make a fortress out of it, any value it may have held because of its previous status as a mega store is gone. It is simply a big ransacked building now. 2. With that in mind, there are bigger, stronger, better buildings around that you can use to turn into your fortress than a Wal Mart. And they won't be the damn epicenter of the outbreak. Think about it. As the general public runs to Wal Mart for supplies, one guy is infected. He turns, bites someone. Now you have thousands of people, panicked, with zombies. Now you have thousands of zombies. Not good. 3. As previously stated, you will not be the only person to think of this plan. And you will also not be the first gunslinger to think of this plan. So your chances of a) taking and b) holding a Wal Mart are very, very slim. NOW. That being said. Wal Marts should not be overlooked. They CAN hold valuable supplies that people didn't think to take. If you are passing a Wal Mart on your way to your REAL bug-out-location, it is worth sending a scout to check it out. If there are only a few zombies or one or two other raiders, then stop in and take anything. Anything left, along with things like propane tanks stored in the warehouse for the forklifts, the 500 or so gallons of diesel that are in the tank of the backup generator outside the store, sections of shelving for reinforcement, whatever. I ran the numbers for even a small town going to WalMart, but if you haven't come across it (and even a cursory search for "WalMart" would bring up one of the threads) here it goes. Of a town with a population of 15,000 people, let's assume that 20% have the same idea as yours. (Reality seems to suggest that it's more like 90%, read The Panic) 3,000 people. Try to picture that number. All of them heading to the same place at the same time. Black Friday is for pussies compared to The Panic. So are you going to fight all of them? If you turn up first, you will have to in order to keep what you have claimed. If you turn up last, these people will have taken the store, or just taken the contents.
