"You have to weigh the pros and cons in this one. For example, baseball bats come in the standard wood and aluminum (preference to the wood for strength) where as a cricket bat comes in wood only (aluminum was once used [ComBat] but never caught on).

Another would be that cricket bat has a larger striking surface but this would cut down on swing speed. Baseball bats are very aerodynamic but have a smaller striking surface.

Finally A cricket bat has to different types of strikes to use it as a melee weapon. The smaller corners and the main striking surface. A baseball bat has only one because of its rounded shape.

When it comes down to it, they are both pretty well balanced, I like the baseball bat because of it's durability and the cricket bat because of its paddle like striking area. It's up to you to decide what you prefer though. Hope I helped!"
