The only part of that stereotype that's true is the gun nut bit.

And I don't see that as a negative stereotype at all.

Oh man. You just had to misspell stereotype and reference stupid in the same sentence didn't you. :)

But really, this page warrants deletion.

My question is who the heck wrote that page? It's a page that only asks for flaming & such. I simply don't like it. It's of no use, and really belongs in the "Bars" thread. It's funny to read the ignorance, not much else.

I'm saying this as there is much crap info on both Americans & Brits.

See now I’m confused “Flame War?” Remember I’m old. All I can say is:
American Revolution America 1 England 0
Pseudo War America 0 England 0
War of 1812 America 1 England 1 tie but could go either way depending on what side of the pond you are from
WW I America so saved England’s ass. I have been to England and there was some fine ass to save glad to help America 1
WW II SSDW America 1
America 4 England 1
See easy

A flame war is really just trying to prove one things better than the other
and usually both sides go off on rants that have little truth
(i.e. a criket bat is better than a baseball bat or americans are all fat, lazy, and stupid

So if I added yes but we managed to kick the piss out of the English in the Revolution and saved their sorry asses from the Germans twice in the past 100 years would that be flaming or just the truth?

Can we end this? Really....

Yes, we kicked Brit ass. We also saved their ass in ww's 1 & 2. They also backed us up in Afghanistan (Thanks!) and in Iraq (Virtualy no one wanted to help in that).

Can we give it a rest?

That's the thing. WWII, you joined in after Pearl Harbour (the fighting. You supplied stuff at a discounted rate to the Allies) but the Battle of Britain was over on May 11th. That's a six month gap before you joined the fighting.

You helped us save the French. I think we can all agree that was not the best use of our time.

Agreed. There's nothing worthy of this thread. Unless you all want to compare Britain Vs. U.S.A. , Gabon vs. Zimbabwe, China vs. Antarctica.... this is only going to create dissent & nothing valuable will come of it.

As a note:

Blood Pudding? Really!

On a serious note: Why do your Eggs taste better? Is it due to the fact that they are not 'bleached'? And the bread.... F4arking good!

On the Beer note: I can't even start! That's a different thread altogether....
