Actually no it doesn't. Eventually you have to sleep. How many quaility hours of sleep do you think you'll get without someone to take turns pulling guard duty with. If you don't have that person you might not wake up.Either way I believe we are a social animal and depression would quickly sink in if we don't have somebody to talk to. Do you find this valuable? |

There have been countless experiments done that prove darkness and isolation make you go mad.

That's my worse case scenario, I am hoping the family I rent my other trailer to next door are home so I am not alone. You will need people to watch your back, help you work, look out while you work, and just to help keep you company. I would like a beginning group of about 10 or so. And grow from there in a better location. Do you find this valuable? |

"id be in my attic un less a 7ft zombie comes id be ok after a while id be able to sleep a whole night but would take a long time.Do myself and yourself a favor and climb up in your attic and see if you can stand it for 3 hours. If your attic is like mine in the summer its hot as hell and in the winter its freezing cold. I've worked in mine in the summer and ended up drenched in sweat in a short amount of time. I had to take 10 min. breaks before I could go back and spend 20 min. in that sauna. I'm someone who works outside and is used to working in the heat. Better have a large store of water up there if you don't want to dehydrate in the summer. Do you find this valuable? |

"There have been countless experiments done that prove darkness and isolation make you go mad."One of the reasons that Tiger Pits are so effective for getting information out of people. Not to mention 'Solitary Confinment' in U.S. prisons are a form of punishment for Bad Behavior. And like timberrattler said, most attics are not necessarily Climat Controled. Sure, hole up in there with a flashlight, a few good books, and a 5 gallon jug of water... don't be suprised when you start seeing the 'Ghosts' of your dead friends after dehydrating. If you're going the 'Lone Wolf' route, there are better options. Do you find this valuable? |

"his profile says me's from the U.K any one from there have a comment about how attics are in britain?"Depends on how converted it is. Old-style attics don't even have a proper floor, just the plasterboard of the ceilings of rooms below, and then fibreglass insulation on top. Too much weight (like a big guy standing on it) and you go through. You have to stand on the beams, and make sure you don't slip. Boarded is the next level. Solid boards are on top of the beams, making a decent floor to stand or sleep on. Typically used when people have so much crap they need the storage space (my mum's place is like this) Both these types have few or no windows, so they are dark. The roof is sloped, so there is only really enough room to stand in the middle, and even then you can't be fully upright. Plus, it will be musty, dusty and dirty. You need a dustmask if you are spending more than a couple of minutes up there, or your lungs will be full of crap, including the fibreglass shards. Conversions have taken the attic and made a proper room. Skylights will give you light, and a way onto the roof. This will be needed, since with the conversion comes the requirement for proper staircases (UK Building regs). Upside might be running water if there was enough space for an en-suite bathroom. Heat in all three of these can be problematic. During the summer, it will heat up quickly. If you can't open the windows, you will boil. In the winter, you will freeze your bollocks off. Spring and autumn are your only comfortable seasons. And even then it will vary day to day. You can survive up there (I grew up with a converted bedroom which was luckily well insulated with large windows), but it won't be the most comfortable option. Do you find this valuable? |

Custard, flavoured with vanilla, chocolate or your usual favourite. Add sugar on the top, and caramelize it with a torch. Or as Styker says, light the bugger on fire. The only thing I don't know is why in the name of all that is Good and Pure, spray-one cheese continues to be sold in the US. It is a crime against both food and humanity. Do you find this valuable? |
