Concerns

Just a few Comment/Concerns1.I don't think its reasonable to think that anyone will be willing to go unarmed with a bunch of walking cannibalistic corpses on the prowl. you just have to accept that anyone near your barn is going to be armed. you just need to learn to recognize the right people. 2. no one will submit to bite inspection unless you do it tactfully I.E having a member of their own sex perform the exam in a private area. make sure to explain to them the necessity of it. 3.even with the exam I would institute a quarantine period of a few hours for new arrivals and any one who returns after encountering the undead. this will be necessary to ensure group safety. the quarantine area should obviously be separate from the main area AND quarantined individuals should be kept separate to ensure there is minimal risk of cross-contamination (don't lock the sick and healthy people in the same room) 4.I would dispense with the contract except when it comes to your equipment and supplies because imposing your will on people used to democracy will only spread contempt for you in the long run. Supplies should be controlled with an iron fist, but leadership should fall to whomever the group feels is most fit. 5.revolvers, although very reliable are impossible to silence, and in the situation of a prolonged siege noise must be kept at a minimum. you should include some form of ranged silenced weaponry for long term defence unless you want to attract unwanted attention from both unsavory people and the undead. Otherwise good plan 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

A quarantine of a few hours is useless if the incubation period is a week. A quarantine of a week is unneccesary if incubation is a day. The quarantine should be the longest period of incubation, plus 10%. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

That is true but im assuming any disease that could very quickly overpower modern defences would have an extremely short or extremely long incubation period (if extremely wrong it would simply be an asymptomatic phase in which the individual could still pass on the disease, resulting in the undetected spread of the disease to a large amount of people ). It is improbable that a disease with a relatively long incubation pable to spread quickly before authorities caught on and contained the outbreak, thus i assumed that symptoms would manifest quickly. I take your meaning though, and i like your formula better.

I assume that he won't tell them to disarm and take their clothes of when there is a bunch of zombies 10 feet behind them.

I don't believe people would disarm under any circumstance until they're in protected territory, invite them into a safe area like a courtyard and then ask em to disarm. don't do it at gunpoint, as this will obviously give the wrong impression.
