Zombie Fishing

Here's a variation for those of you stuck on your Roofs or in a step up attic.
Take a two foot dowel and wind about twenty feet of cord around it.
Tie a slip noose in the free end of the twine and edge your way down
Toss the noose's loop over the closest zed and haul it up
When you catch gets with in reach give him a KNOCK with a claw hammer
When the zed is down, use the Hammer's claw to slip the Zed free of the noose and wait for the next one

Well the first thing I'd have to ask is this. While you're hauling said zombie up on a rope don't you think he'll be flailing around a bit? Unless you are dressed properly this might get you scratched or biten.

What about hooking a concrete block or other heavy object at the end of your rope and dropping it on their heads then hauling it back up and repeating. Takes the risk of infection out of the picture.

That's a good idea with the brick, providing you have enough rope. Otherwise, you'll end up pulling yourself off the roof.

Sounds obvious, but I guarantee someone will do it :)

Yeah but that would be funny as hell.

The more I think about it a bowling ball would even be better. Run a long eye bolt through the ball, sharpen the end of the bolt and bombs away. Grease the ball up with Vasoline so the zeds couldn't get a handle on it. What do you think Pedro? Do Englishmen bowl?

We do. But putting a bolt through a ball would be a little like putting a needle through an egg without making a mess of your kitchen. You would need to drill slowly, and if you have that much time and those tools on your hands, you can probably make more versatile weaponry.

You might be better off with a metal weight from a gym. Comes ready made with a hole in the middle, is nice and heavy, and even has relatively sharp edges to increase the force of impact.

I can dig the thought here. What a better way to pass those long summer days? However, might I suggest a pulley system to ensure that a particularly violent flail doesnt pull you off? Do you find this valuable?

Oh I wouldn't be trying this.

This is a project for the most obnoxious member of your group.

If sometime during the zedpoc someone assigns you this job guess what?

if fighting from a roof or high area and you have long poles just sharpen them and stab like !@#$. this cuts your 4 step system to 1 step. Do you find this valuable?

But if the poles get stuck in the heads, there is a high chance you could either

lose the pole
get pulled down from the roof

you could just noose them, drag them up to being almost to you, tie the rope to something and drop the zombie again, causing the zombies weight to break its own neck when the cord goes taut.

i like this idea. you could employ this to horde situations. your above them on a wall or roof or something. just keep noosing and snapping necks or smashing heads when they come into range.
