A easy way to get a mobile turrent would be to get a humvee (m1151, the ones being used for in Iraq). might be easy to get your hands on one, but more than likely hard. I live about 15 minutes from the armory I go to drill for, and the only thing i would need to get into one would be a pair of bolt cutters. I guess it would all depend if the national guard had enough time to get sent out, or even at all. you would sit about 7 and a half feet above the ground, and if things get to hairy you jump in and close the hatch. I would love to see zombies try and scratch their way into it, and its not that bad of a gas hog what you would think it would be.

PointMan had a great idea, and I don't usually go for the whole "loot army bases" thing, but he works/lives near a reserve station and knows where they send the vehicles for maintenance. The maintenance facility is civilian owned/operated, and far less secure than a base would be. It would be much easier to steal a vehicle from a contracted repair facility than the base itself. And Kudos to PM for the idea. Do you find this valuable? |
